(14,923 posts)is that she definitely has reason to be concerned about her Goldman Sach speech content.
People should take note as to the openness, disclosure and sunshine rules one should expect from a Hillary Clinton administration.......NONE!

Tear down that wall of secrecy you are hiding those transcripts behind. The American people have a right to know what Goldman Sachs and other plutocrats felt was worth $225,000 a pop to hear. Was it assurances that no matter what you said on the campaign trail, once you got into office it would be business as usual? Thanks to the new petition sponsored by Progressive Democrats of America, the people of the United States have an opportunity to demand the release of those transcripts.
Folks, this is the U.S. of A. and we the people want to know if what our candidates say in public in any way comports with what they say in private. Remember the 47%? They defeated Romney and those same 47% will defeat Hillary if they find out what she says about them behind closed doors is not what she has been telling them (us) in public. Democrats need to know NOW because you can bet Donald Trump already knows and once she is nominated it will be too late. The Donald will have those transcripts splashed all over twitter, Instagram and the New York Times before the Democrats pack up and leave Philly!
When Hillary Clinton spoke to Goldman Sachs executives and technology titans at a summit in Arizona in October of 2013, she spoke glowingly of the work the bank (Goldman Sachs) was doing raising capital and helping create jobs, according to people who saw her remarks. One went on to say It was pretty glowing about us. Its so far from what she sounds like as a candidate now. It was like a rah-rah speech. She sounded more like a Goldman Sachs managing director." The person who saw Clintons Arizona remarks to Goldman said he thought there was no chance the campaign would ever release them. "It would bury her against Sanders," this person said. Because "at another speech to Goldman and its big asset management clients in New York in 2013, Clinton spoke about how it wasnt just the banks that caused the financial crisis (Really?) And that it was worth looking at the landmark 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform law to see what was working and what wasnt." (Oh yeah?)
But Goldman Sachs wasnt her only admirer. "She gave one speech sitting on a stage under the life-size model of the blue whale that hangs in the American Museum of Natural History." Get the joke? Remember the London whale? Well, the joke will be on us if we dont get those transcripts! "For a fee of $275,000, she had agreed to appear before the clients of Golden Tree Asset Management, the capstone of a lucrative speechmaking sprint through Wall Street that earned her more than $2 million in less than seven months." Most people dont earn that much in a lifetime!

(14,923 posts)Its unfortunate, that 15+ years from now, we might be experiencing another Clinton deja vu moment with Hillary publicly apologizing for some of her WH decisions (just as Bill has done), just before daughter Chelsea is set to announce her candidacy for a Senate seat run.

(10,601 posts)Hillary Clinton, for all intents & purposes now the presumptive Democratic nominee, has begun to focus her campaign on fighting Trump and the conservatives. There is no compelling reason to campaign directly against Sanders at this point in the game (there aren't even any more debates scheduled, as far as I know), thus no reason to bother with this silly transcript tangent any longer.
Sorry, but it is time to move on.

(1,442 posts)that more than anything is the center piece to HRC campaign... "Sorry, but it is time to move on"
or
"Sorry, but it is too high of a goal, aim lower"
"Sorry, but give me more time to triangulate my position"
etc...
etc...
We should make a game of it!

(14,923 posts)You pull that little nugget out when the 'recovery period' for a 47% October surprise has lapsed.......
Someone is holding on to those speech transcripts tightly and they will see the light in a timely, ramped-up, advantageous, full press release when maximum character trauma can be inflicted (considering that a majority of voters already view Hillary as untrustworthy, liar, dishonest, secretive),...they won't have much further to push.
The MSM headers will be screaming with captions such as 'THAT'S WHY SHE DIDN'T WANT TO RELEASE HER TRANSCRIPTS'.......'HILLARY CLINTON LIED ABOUT OBAMA, TPP, KEYSTONE'.....and so on...
Afterwards, who will ever believe another Hillary claim lobbed against the running republican candidate........

(14,923 posts)Bernie should call a press conference and clearly make the case (on behalf of public disclosure) that Hillary should release her speech transcripts to the public before the Democratic convention. He should explain why the public has the right to know what their candidate's position are on issues when speaking to such groups. After a detailed explanation as to the 'why' Hillary needs to come clean and release her transcripts, Bernie should drop the 'nuke option' challenge on Hillary.
Bernie should state that he will suspend his campaign IF Hillary fully discloses her transcripts and that nothing within the content of her speech transcripts contradict ANY of her current positions embraced. If Hillary's transcripts show her positions on issues to be absolutely consistent with her current positions, then Bernie will suspend his candidacy effective immediately.
The media would slurp this up and bring this issue to the forefront once again. If Hillary refuses ( as we all expect her to do), Bernie will use this challenge as a daily beating bell to remind voters of Hillary's deception and how she will betray the voters by flipping on all her positions once elected into office.
