Gun industry thrives during Obama's term in office

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama has presided over a heyday for the gun industry despite predictions by the National Rifle Association four years ago that he would be the "most anti-gun president in American history." Gun buyers fear that Obama wants to restrict their purchases, especially if he were re-elected.

If I'm in gun industry, from manufacturers to gun shop owners, I would vote for Obama. Seriously. He's the best sale pitch they have. And with a likely Repub congress, in coalition with enough Dem congressmen in deep south, there is not one iota Obama can do on gun control.

The Delicate Flowers (gun-nuts) are very scared about the fantasy that the NRA & other reich-wing organizations have promoted.

Without guns, the Delicate Flowers will be too scared to walk out the front door. They'll starve.

Tom Tomorrow is the guy who came up with "Delicate Flowers" to describe gun-nuts, since they are ever-so-sensitive when any limits on their beloved (and necessary ) Precious is brought up.

what's going to happen 4 years from now when all of the people whom have these huge bad-ass arsenals of guns, ammo, etc. and the "jack-booted thugs" of the ATF (or New Black Panthers) STILL haven't shown up at their doorstep to seize every last bit of it? Talk about a huge waste of money. I sure hope that nobody starves or loses their homes in their zeal to buy as many guns as possible.

Art Buchwald, it's bullets that kill people. Hence we should outlaw bullets. You can own as many guns and as many types as you like, but you can't have bullets
