It seems to me that in these days of pitched battles, it's easy to get heated and rude.

So much is at stake.

And I don't think I need to point out to you, or anyone, that being rude and hateful is not limited to Senator Sander's supporters. I've seen plenty of that from Madame Secretary's supporters too.

It's part of the human condition, I'm afraid.

We see someone we admire being attacked and we heat up and say things that we would not ordinarily say.

That's how I see it.

Mar 2016

Let us see if we can get an honest answer....

Apparently Skinners thread last week was only a temporary fix. I so pine away for civil discussion. I myself may not agree or say what others want me to say...I'm just not feeling the Bern....I'm for Hillary.... I am proud to say it too. Bernie has good vision and makes good points but lacks Democratic tenure....nor does he have an action plan for implementing his talking points. So, Hillary is where I casted my vote...joyfully.

Sun Mar 27, 2016, 08:36 PM
Mar 2016

Does that mean he hasn't been a democrat? His principles are for more like a democrat than the one you support. You aren't going to build a stronger democratic party by requiring tenure. The millennials do not have tenure, the disenfranchised democrats from long ago wouldn't have the tenure either. I am glad I got to vote for the progressive of the two candidates. Donald Trump can not run to the left of Bernie on any issues, but he sure can run to the left of Hillary. That in itself should speak volumes.

Like most other Sanders supporters, I don't hate Clinton but just prefer Bernie because I believe he is the candidate who better represents my interests and concerns. And, speaking for myself, I'm very definitely not the victim of right-wing propaganda. My misgivings about Hillary have not been influenced by the right wing but by things she has actually said and done.

Oh, one more thing: I don't hate Obama, either. I like him and I voted for him twice.

and then Bernie Sanders entered the picture. Honesty entered the picture. A person not railing about Wall St. while gladly accepting their money. Integrity happened, and as Bernie laid out his stances, Hillary adopted them( conveniently). This is when I knew that she would say and do anything for the job. I have lost a large amount of respect I once had for her.

Foolish me, I thought that was Hillary. Obviously it was right wing propaganda using a Hillary lookalike.

Oh, and someone else voted for the bankruptcy bill, but blamed Hillary! Or what about the decision to support the regime change in Libya? Somehow that Hillary lookalike got Obama's ear.

Welfare reform? Black predators? Crime bill? NAFTA?

Hillary didn't do any of that, it was all right wing propaganda. Sure.
