Obama endorses Wasserman Schultz in primary, what is he thinking?

Progressive leader?

The Democratic National Committee is once again accepting donations from registered lobbyists and political action committees, a reversal of restrictions introduced by President Barack Obama in 2008 that were designed to limit the influence of special-interest groups.

http://www.hngn.com/articles/178760/20160212/dnc-reverses-ban-on-money-from-lobbyists-and-pacs.htm

“Debbie has been a strong, progressive leader in Congress and a hardworking, committed Chair of our national Party since I proudly nominated her to the role in 2011,” Obama said.
“She always stands up and fights for what is right for her district while passionately supporting middle class families.”

If that's not the case, would you give an example of criticism that isn't "bashing"? You don't have to agree with the criticism -- just cite a criticism that you wouldn't dismiss with that "bash Obama" meme.

Thanks in advance!

It was a deliberate punch in the gut of the Left that helped to elect him. So why? He needed to tell the Conservatives that he wasn't really the Progressive like he campaigned. Then firing Dean and hiring Rahmbo sealed the deal.

He really didn't sound progressive, he sounded more optimistic for the future. Whenever Hillary challenged Barack on HC, he pushed back to sounding moderate. And I don't remember him laying out clear plans to reign in Wall Street. Nor did he ever campaign on raising the minimum wage to a living wage. Looking back, if it wasn't for the whole UFO thing, I think Kucinich would have made a far and away better president.

questions like Fox News. I am not even sure what you are trying to insinuate but I detest Rick Warren but I am guessing you love him. The Left helped Obama win the election and he spit in our faces, not once but many times. I know that doesn't bother you because you seem to be more comfortable on the non-progressive side. Love those Wealthy 1%'ers don't ya?

I find it detestable to side with the filthy rich and ignore those among us that need help. I bet you side with DINO Debbie and the Pay Day Loan Sharks as they bilk the poor.

"The truth of the matter is that my policies are so mainstream that if I had set the same policies that I had back in the 1980s, I would be considered a moderate Republican."- President Barack Obama

Of course, this might explain why the ACA was based on a Heritage Foundation essay, and why Max Baucus had single payer doctor/nurse advocates arrested at hearings on Capitol Hill.

Bailing out big banks on the backs of the middle class isn't terribly progressive, neither is the harsh policy on whistle blowers, or many other things. You're right- he's no progressive.

After all, he's only got another nine months of his presidency left, why start rocking the boat now?

Besides:

...According to people who spoke with her, when she sensed Obama was considering replacing her as chair in 2013, she began to line up supporters to suggest the move was both anti-woman and anti-Semitic.
