Making the case that since we're stuck with them it would be most fair if they followed the will of the people (i.e. Pledged Delegates) is not exactly endorsing the concept.

The supers are there whether we like it or not this cycle. What's he supposed to do- spot her 700 delegates? Of course he's gonna make his case.
Editing to add that saying the Supers should support whoever got the most pledged delegates is completely consistent with arguing that the power of the Superdelegates is unfair and that the will of the people should be listened to.
