(4,667 posts)Bernie is a hard working Senator who has earned the right to be where he is today, not a prima donna.

(50,130 posts)He put himself in this position, and can't easily administer the one-two punch that normally would be given. They said a couple of days ago that she would be out of the race if he were like most candidates.
There are so many areas of corruption available to him.

(11,197 posts)How about these for starters:
1) Pointing out to voters that she raises the bulk of her campaign funds from Wall St. He does this frequently of late.
2) Pointing out to voters that she voted FOR the Iraq war.
3) Pointing out to voters that she has many Wall St. funded SuperPacs.
4) Pointing out to voters that she prefers a more benefactor friendly $12/hr min wage negotiation starting point than $15/hr.
5) Pointing out to voters that Healthcare should be a Right not a Privilege (Clinton prefers the for-profit insurance middleman approach)
6) Pointing out to voters that she has NOT released her Wall St. speech transcripts after numerous calls to do so.
7) Pointing out to voters the Hillary's hypocrisy in campaigning against Citizens United while simultaneously benefiting HUGELY from it.
8) Pointing out to voters that we should expand Social Security, not cut it through Clinton approved approaches such as chained CPI, means testing, raising the retirement age, etc.
9) Pointing out to voters that if elected he plans to fundamentally change the Democratic Party back into a Party of/by/for the People.
There's more of course but you get the idea.

(4,667 posts)fault - he signed it in 1995 and the nation has STILL never been told that it literally tries to hijack the entire future. its the reason they are trying to privatize education and health care irreversibly and its the reason stimulus creating jobs for Americans is now "discrimination".

(14,177 posts)He should start talking about the tone the FBI is taking with her since she doesn't like his.

(14,177 posts)It will probably be misconstrued though. As I don't think Bernie should back down. I think he should get a lot tougher instead. But, on the other hand that is how I do things and things in my world escalate until the other side gives up.

(1,306 posts).....to call him a hypocrite. But, most of all, they want to limit his exposure and cruise to victory, there's a reason she hasn't held a press conference in 117 days.

(14,177 posts)There is some seriously f'd up things in those emails. Lets start with Sid that association alone should disqualify her from office. Then we can talk about the Honduras and how she was non responsive to Jake Sullivan. Then her talking about business opportunities in Iraq and Libya. I am sure I would have more if I read more than a hundred of those emails.

(1,306 posts).....(working it in)....I was referring to the speculation regarding the ongoing FBI investigation. Since they have concluded that she should.........

Personally I think she should be charged with assault.

(40,416 posts)But other than that, you're probably right.
She's the one who's wrong.
BTW, did you get the part about David Brock, a major HRC campaign operative, posting the smarmy personal attack on Bernie that basically impugned his relationship with his wife? It happened on the same fucking day that Hillary said that Bernie should change his "tone".
Hillary Clinton is an absolutely horrible campaigner. Maybe that is why nearly all national polls have her doing much worse than Bernie against all GOP opponents in November.
My fears are not that Hillary Clinton gets the nomination and wins; my fears are that she gets it and loses when Bernie could clearly win.
That is why I support Bernie and if Hillary Clinton gets the nod I will support her. However, it will be the most difficult vote of my life because I don't think she can win. I don't think that I've seen a worse candidate. And that includes Michael Dukakis riding in a tank wearing the equivalent of a Darth Vader helmet.

(19,221 posts)I think the real question is what kind of campaign is Senator Sanders going to run going forward, opined Benenson. Senator Sanders doesnt get to decide when we debate, particularly when hes running a very negative campaign against us. Lets see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then well talk about debates.
Shortly after Benensons patronizing comments, the Twitter hashtag #ToneDownForWhat began to trend, and the internet fittingly derided the strategist and Clinton, who just eight years ago said that you should be willing to debate anytime, anywhere while running for president. One can only assume that Benenson who has consulted for various Wall Street firms was alluding to the Sanders campaigns criticism of Clintons financial ties to Wall Street and its insistence that she release transcripts from her Goldman Sachs speeches.

For such supposedly smarter-than-thou people, politicians sure seem to hire a lot of asscarrots to work for them.
