Hillary: Women's rights as important as any economic issue.

Maddow said that she spoke with Senator Bernie Sanders, Clinton’s 2016 primary opponent, and that Sanders was critical of Trump’s remark but he also thinks it’s another “Donald Trump stupid” remark that will be covered by the media ad nauseam as opposed to issues like taxes, climate change, minimum wage that might be more deserving of extended attention.

Maddow asked Clinton if she agreed, and Clinton said she doesn’t think the media is making too much of this, “No, absolutely not. I’ve been on the front lines of the fight to preserve a woman’s choice and ability to make these difficult decisions… I’ve been a leader in trying to make sure that our rights as women were not in any way eroded.”

“To think that this is an issue that is not deserving of reaction just demonstrates a lack of appreciation for how serious this is,” Clinton said. “This goes to the heart of who we are as women, what kinds of rights and choices we have, it certainly is as important as any economic issue because when it’s all stripped away so much of the Republican agenda is to turn the clock back on women.”

4. Bernie's always been 100% pro-choice and never supported a ban on late term abortions.

Hillary talks a good game out of both sides of her mouth.

By giving women economic freedom they'll be free to leave abusive spouses, plan their families, raise their children without working two and three jobs.

You can't have equal rights without gender ANA economic justice.

5. I heard that Hillary interviewed Bernie before Trump's comment and Hillary after. Is that true?

10. Except that she has indicated that she is willing to let a woman's right to choose be eroded.

I guess she was lying then. Or did she lie to Maddow? It's hard to know.

11. What she says about any issue depends on her audience, what polls indicate, day of the week, etc.

This is why we can't trust her.

14. Ironic considering her decades long opposition to the rights of women to marry women.

LGBT rights are women's rights, L is for lesbians and they are women, T is for transgender and some of them are women just as some of the bisexuals are women. Opposition to LGBT equality is in and of itself opposition to equal standing for women. You can slice and dice that to try to make it fit in the Liberal Box but it just does not fit.

So 'I'm for women's rights, as long as those women are straight and cis!!!!' Is like saying 'I'm for rights for people exactly like me but not for those who might be different from me'.

It's pretty insulting to hear that the candidate who opposed the civil rights of millions of women and men is some guardian of those rights.

Fact: Hillary spent years opposing rights other women were seeking to gain. 'No' she said 'my religion is more important than your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. One man, one woman!!!!'
