(2,760 posts)And by "in trouble" I mean they know it's over if they don't win. Usually a campaign tried to lower expectations in order to avoid the narrative of a "letdown." When they start raising expectations, you know they really have nothing left to lose.
See Rubio in Florida or Kasich in Ohio as two recent examples.

(53,986 posts)in a state and they get to know him. I think Hillary made a rather large faux pas right out of the gate with her "real New Yorker" ad. After all, of the two there is only one bona fide "New Yorker" and it isn't Hillary.
