Related: About this forumFactchecker: 3 Pinocchios for Sanders over Clinton oil & gas donations
The Sanders campaign is exaggerating the contributions that Clinton has received from the oil and gas industry. In the context of her overall campaign, the contributions are hardly significant. Its especially misleading to count all of the funds raised by lobbyists with multiple clients as money given by the fossil-fuel industry.

So far they have 600 American names. That's more than all of the house and senate. We know there are celebrities and anyone who has enough, but still doesn't want to pay their fair share.
I'll just bet, out of the 600, you won't find Bernie Sanders on this list.
But keep focusing on Pinocchios, while we have missed out on 32 trillion of taxable income, for many countries. Hillary is a part of all that is wrong here, making laws including loopholes for themselves.
Legal, yes, Integrity to lead? Hardly. Panama Papers are soooo much more.
But just keep posting about 'Pinocchios', it's just rich.

(6,960 posts)It just goes to show you the world in which the Clinton's live that several million dollars is "hardly significant."
Her defenders have to take this stretch, too.
Kind of sad.
And, Americablog ... really.

(14,255 posts)the TPP and cluster bombs and such? Is that supposed to override those things which will affect so many of us in very bad ways? That is supposed to convince me to support a Third Way Neocon hawk? Who has already said she is open to more abortion restrictions, and would just take away from some Social Security beneficiaries, to give to other Social Security beneficiaries, instead of raising the cap? Really?
ISSUES. So, no fucking way could I support Clinton, who, as far as I can tell, has a whole cargo container full of wooden noses.

"Its especially misleading to count all of the funds raised by lobbyists with multiple clients as money given by the fossil-fuel industry....
The second problem the Washington Post factchecker had with Sanders claim is that the donations arent significant at all. Theyre a very small percentage."
From Greenpeace:
"All told, the campaign to elect Hillary Clinton for president in 2016 has received more than $4.5 million from lobbyists, bundlers, and large donors connected the fossil fuel industry."
And that is argued to be only a "very small percentage" from lobbyists?!?...
Thanks - I feel SOO much better now!
:Sarcasm:
Anyway - why all the poutrage?
"Hillary Clinton told supporters that lobbyists should be exposed and publicly called out.
"Maybe use social media? Maybe make a concerted effort to really call these people out all the time, get some social pressure on them, get people to know their names," Clinton suggested,"
