many different foreign countries as well as the U.S.?

How is McClatchy in control of all of the info, as they have also reported? Do all 400 work for them? Wow! You just can't 'off' 400 reporters when things get hot.

You may recall that it was Knight-Ridder reporters who uncovered Cheney cooking the intel books on Iraq, and the Downing Street Memos.

I think it is safe to say McClatchy's best have been taking the lead and are working on this, but, it would be in partnership with reporters from other countries' cooperating news organizations.
