(9,522 posts)CNN says the voters were 84% white...sounds good for Bernie!

(3,226 posts)If that number holds up Bernie will get a dubbel digit victory. We have seen exit polls be wrong before but I like how it shaping up.

(10,493 posts)was this your image? There's a time stamp in the lower right. I'm central, and it's almost 2 hrs before me. Seems odd to release it so soon. However, everything I've read does show favorable overall for Sanders, but not by such a large margin.

(10,493 posts)Some of the stations used to occasionally flash EST/CST time stamps. I couldn't tell which was up on the screen.

(10,493 posts)But what is the complete minority turnout? I think I saw an early exit poll that 25% of dem turnout was minority. How does that relate to Wisconsin population overall? Certainly off in densely populated areas, but in rural areas, it's likely far less diverse.

(28,876 posts)The electorate today was primarily white, as one would expect in WI.
I want everyone to vote.

Codeine
(25,586 posts)None of you are stupid enough to say it outright, but the cheering that accompanies reports of high white voter numbers is unbecoming of a Democrat, and it speaks volumes to those who know how to listen.

(5,066 posts)bernie up 35% among white voters and if polls are accurate and he led with black voters In Wi as well a huge win In Wis.with huge
white turnout minority votes aren't going to win it for clinton and some of minority votes will go to bernie.
get ready to hear wis is ilrelvent since bernie won.and wis is state dems need In GE.Gore and kerry just barely won it in 2000 and

(12,689 posts)That data generally does not get released until after the polls close.
GeorgiaPeanuts
(2,353 posts)Someone generated a fake image that matches exactly how MSNBC has been releasing exit poll data with and then displayed it on their TV for maximum fake?

(12,689 posts)So far that sort of data has not been released until after the polls have closed. It usually gets released with the top line numbers at the top of the hour.

(6,437 posts)Actual demographic breakdowns by candidate are always embargoed until after polls are closed. Always. What the OP captured is a test of inputting numbers in the placeholder. Sometimes they get broadcast by accident.
paulthompson
(2,398 posts)As a Sanders supporter, I like those numbers. And I think he'll do better than many suspect with non-White voters.
But what about early voters? Those aren't counted in exit polls, are they? Clinton typically does a lot better with the early voting. Does anyone know what percent of voters in that state vote early?
paulthompson
(2,398 posts)Has anyone seen the exit poll numbers on the Republican side? What would be revealing there?
Robbins
(5,066 posts)bernie was getting a lot of early vote for a change In Wis.

(486 posts)We all should be more concerned about the WI voter ID (Suppression) laws, which discriminates against and suppresses voting by POC, poor, students, homeless, and Democrats generally. Bernie's count will suffer all these discriminations, and Hillary will also suffer from some of them.
Bernie will win Wisconsin and probably by double-digits despite demographics and Republican voter suppression tactics. But his margin would likely be much larger with well-run fair elections.
