Related: About this forumCNN is reporting that Clinton Campaign is going to "take off the gloves" for New York...
I hope she knows that is a losing strategy... The more she attacks the more his supporters rally behind him. I remember in the early days when we were polling way way down in national polls when an attack popped up from her we would raise a bunch of money off it in reaction...

(39,961 posts)that she landed under sniper fire, and that the plane had to use evasive maneuvers.
That was a lie - a big one, and she got caught in it after footage was displayed of that particular day.
Pointing out that someone told a giant fib is not a personal attack, it is stating a fact. Brian Williams did the same thing, and nobody claimed it was a personal attack against him - they just stated that he had a grandiose idea about how heroic he was, which is the same in this particular situation with Hillary.
If I'm not mistaken, Bill O'Reilly made statements that implied he was in a war zone, and happened to be 400 miles from it. Nobody called it a personal attack when he was rightfully called on the carpet for it.

(24,411 posts)I just posted this in another thread.
Clinton has been unhinged lately. It's been embarrassing for her.
Understandable though. She's being investigated by the FBI, she may be interviewed soon, she's blown a 20+ point lead in her "home state" of NY. Her finger jabbing screed at that Greenpeace activist didn't do her any favors.
Hillary needs to do some mindful meditation. She doesn't need to whip her campaign into ludicrous speed.
But please! Far be it for me to judge. I welcome this, because when Hillary gets in cray cray mode, she tends to slide off the deep end and make decisions purely out of fear.
Bernie will be riding off the WI momentum and he's going to wind handily in WY, so he'll have that going for him.

(31,849 posts)as Bernie will be subjected to the "challenges" that HRC has been facing and Sanders has been spared. It would likely hurt the Bernie camps feelings.
I view this as an exhibition match, where the HRC camp is sparing and pulling punches; whereas, the Bernie camp is all out fighting.
Should the HRC camp do it's thing, it will lead to ugliness.

"It may be hard for your viewers to remember how difficult it was for people to talk about HIV/AIDS back in the 1980s and because of both president and Mrs. Reagan in particular Mrs. Reagan we started a national conversation, when before nobody would talk about it, nobody wanted to do anything about it, and that too is something I really appreciate with her very effective low-key advocacy. It penetrated the public conscience and people began to say, hey, we have to do something about this too.

(24,979 posts)What is she going to do, call him a carpetbagging profiteer warmonger? The one often effective dirty card to play in a presidential primary here would be to call him weak on Israel. Sanders is just the right guy to try that on. It will be fun.

I won't engage them, just wait for them to exhaust themselves and help them to the side in a bit.
I'm sure Ms. Clinton doesn't realize the era where she was relevant has passed. The world is in the hands of the newer generations now; and the one selected as "Sensei" was someone she marginalized in her head for decades. Things once seen as legacies, are now viewed as obstacles to the forward progress of human civilization.
On Edit: I live in Rock CO. WI. With 100% of the polls reporting, Bernie wins 60.4 to 39.2.....a 21.2 margin.
