Funny how HRC supporters want to paint Bernie & his supporters as misogynist...

when

1. Many ARE women and

2. Many would have gladly supported Elizabeth Warren if she would have entered the race

Try to grasp this... For many voters, it is about what Hillary has done (or not done) that has spawned the Bernie Sanders movement. For many, including myself, her gender has ZERO to do with it. I would have voted for Elzabeth Warren if she had entered the race, and I would love to see her (or possibly Kamala Harris) on the ticket with Bernie this November.

So please, save the false accusations of misogyny for actual misogynists (aka Trump supporters...). Sure there may be some on the Democratic side, but I would venture to guess the number pales in comparison to GOP voters who hold such views.

Sorry to say that I do see misogyny as a big part of the Hillary-bashing around here and in general.

But then I'm a man. With a daughter.

Bernie had my primary vote in NY for a long while but as the date approaches I've decided that It Is the Misogyny, Stupid.

Many Bernie supporters -- most I hope-- are not misogynistic. But right here on DU I am seeing pretty a constant stream of blatantly sexist posts about Hillary. Every day. All day. From people who surely know better.

Slam me all you want but be aware BS had and lost a NY primary supporter in me. And I'm not alone in that.

Just random people posting here...?

I humbly suggest you owe it to your daughter to look more carefully at how each of the candidates' positions and votes actually help or hurt (particularly in Hillary's case) women and girls. It's vital to not to be swayed by words because actions matter so much more. You will likely find, as so many of we long-time feminists have, that Bernie is the greater feminist.

I have also spoken to some men who, wanting to make the women in their lives feel they are "standing with them" are voting for Hillary because of the gender-ploy meme she is broadcasting. As a recent study showed, Obama never campaigned on being the first Black president, but Hillary has mentioned her gender as being core to her candidacy in her speeches nearly 700 times. IMO it is sexist to use her gender to distract from who is the more authentic feminist.

As an indy leaning green he has already voted for two women for president.

So to all Hill supporters who want (internalized) misogyny to be why their candidate is unqualified:

TRY AGAIN!!

Does that make me sexist? If so then so be it.
I don't though, I don't give a shit if you're male, female, Elvis or Sasquatch.
What I care about are the damn issues and integrity in candidates. That is what is most important. I could care less about any of this other stuff because to me it isn't important. You know what's important to me?

Hillary as president would set back the movement tremendously. While I would LOVE to see a female president, I also realize we need to hold out for a truly great candidate - one so amazing that she just happens to be a woman, not one who is amazing *because* she is a woman. If the first woman we elect makes poor judgement calls, embroils the country in scandal, makes disastrous trade deals, and leaves us in a worse position than we started in, it will only be seen as "proof" that those sexist a'holes were right. And the whole movement will be set even further back.

Go watch his Vote Together Ad....

He reminds us not let them divide us by gender, race, sexual orientation, immigrant status, etc, etc.

I just ignore them because I think they are the ones who have blackness in their hearts and when biting truthful criticisms get aired like that one after the other in rapid succession they need to lash out at something, because that is a major Bern

And even if I had not attended & graduated college, does that make a person's views irrelevant? Seriously?
