Why is Bill Clinton doubling down on Hillary's super-predator theory?

Bill Clinton has already admitted that his mass incarceration policies were a mistake and did a lot of harm to the black community and the country in general. Is he back to defending those policies again?

Isn't the "Super-Predator" theory a completely discredited pseudo-scientific fiction made up to scare people into supporting excessive policing?

Today Bill Clinton justified the racist policing and crime policies by saying it was needed to fight crime. That's the same fake argument they used in the 90s when they were scaring people with the superpredator theory.

Everyone agrees crime is bad. The question is how do you fight it. And why are over-policing and mass incarceration the only tools in your toolbox. Bill's comments today were hideous.

are they gonna vote for, in the GE. But I have been told that pointing that out is racist. Or something.

The only demographic Hillary is going to help is the 1%.

He lives his life surrounded by sycophants among the rich and powerful who kiss his ass. My guess is that he thinks he is doing a favor to the little people who are lucky to have the opportunity of a lifetime to hear him speak without paying a big admission price. He has lost touch with normal people and became indignant at the idea that he had to defend himself or Hillary to them.

Given what has happened in this campaign, the continued growing power of money in politics and Hillary's demonstrated need to keep a very tight circle, if Hillary gets to the White House she is not going to put herself in any more situations where ordinary people can question her. If the press wants to speak to her, it will be transactional journalism where the ground rules are clearly established and the reporters who provide the friendliest coverage will get the access. Everybody else can go fuck off.

Bill clearly isn't what he used to be, but he was throwing out a lot more details than anybody who was out of it could come up with.

There was a long Vanity Fair profile of Bill from 8-10 years ago that said he was not the same after his quadruple bypass surgery and a followup surgery to remove scar tissue. The article said that there was always an anger in him that was just below the surface and prone to come out at any time.

And for Hillary, it's all about her. As long as she wins, she doesn't care about anyone else.

The Vanity Fair article was onto something.
