(11,945 posts)Why on earth would anyone give their child a Stanford education so the child can go to work at a hedge fund on graduation?
Think of all the interesting, worthwhile, noble and creative things a Stanford graduate can do. The world could be your oyster; you could fulfill your dreams. What a brilliant future you could have.
At a hedge fund?
Something is wrong.

(1,511 posts)It gave me an idea if we made Hillary President and had her do speeches to pay off the National Debt...sadly it would take her 165 years of zero interest with no breaks to pull it off. Too bad, could have been a good selling point. On a side note who would cover her speaking fees for the state of the Union?

(11,992 posts)How much more would she have to insist teachers get paid for that to no longer be true? Alternatively, how much more would she have to tax hedge fund managers? Is she actually willing to do either of those things? I don't think so. Saying something is "not acceptable" is meaningless rhetoric if you're not offering a solution.
