Clinton won't be eating cheesecake in front of the press: "I learned early on not to eat in front of all of you."

This picture of Hillary Clinton staring longingly at cake might be the most Ive ever related to a politician

well, if this isn't an exercise in self-control...
sometimes the cheesecake just demands attention, ya know?

(99,711 posts)My aunt lived on Lincoln Road, near Prospect Park, but where it is in relation to Juniors I long forgot.

(48,181 posts)Juniors at least used to be down the hill toward the river on flatbush from the park.

And certain people still wonder why no one takes their "political issues" discussions seriously.

(11,366 posts)If Bernie wore gold-lamé, I'd have an issue with it.
Only Queens and lounge singers should wear gold-lamé.

(146,325 posts)Why, exactly, is that a Goldman Sachs "getup?" If the best you can do is criticize what she's wearing, I'm really sorry, but it won't wash. Criticizing a candidate's choice of what to wear is simply not a valid criticism of any kind.
It is, instead, a complete failure.

(30,250 posts)She wore it at a Clinton Global Initiative event. Despite the crap posted here over and over, the foundation does a lot of good around the world, particularly in Africa.
Your comment about "corruption stains" is utter nonsense.

Who knows how to make love stay?
1. Tell love you are going to Junior's Deli on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn to pick up a cheesecake, and if loves stays, it can have half. It will stay. -- Tom Robbins
Thanks for the pretty pictures.

(146,325 posts)More likely the place just delivered some of their signature cheesecakes to her. That's what I'd do if a presidential candidate walked into my place. I'd have my best stuff delivered to her table.
Whether or not she eats it is a completely different question. Candidates often avoid being seen eating at campaign appearances. Too many chances for an awkward photo op. We saw that several time with corn dogs as the food, didn't we? And a bite of cheesecake falling off the fork onto your clothing is sort of awkward, too.
Your question simple makes no sense in that context, really.

(11,996 posts)That part about her ordering it made me think she ordered it.
I get the part of not eating in front of the press.
SO my question is sort of very much in context. Although it is not an issue, I was curious.
