caring deeply about issues like red lining and hiring practices that exclude black sounding names.

Before you can be outraged about this. Otherwise odds are you are just using this issue to beat up on Hillary.

Holy. Shit.

That's literally one of the stupidest things someone has ever uttered in the defense of racial stereotypes....

and putting 100,000 more cops out on the street who may as well have been specifically tasked with jailing black men...

and putting the profit in the private prison industry...

and fighting gay marriage right up to the point where it was politically unfeasible to do so any longer...

and pushing for wars on brown people from Honduras to Syria...

why, a terrorist joke aimed at Arabs would be absolutely hillaryious!

My wife is black and she says "BPT" (Black People's Time) when she's talking about someone being late for something - or her running late herself. That's her joke, not mine. I respect her enough to not encroach on racial jokes and likewise for her (I'm half Mexican/White). But, that's what it boils down to - respect. Hillary and De Blasio displayed a profound LACK of respect. But your post is absolutely brilliant to all the enablers' craven defense of the "joke".

that fried chicken & watermelon have not been used as stereotypical catorgization of black people. We aren't allowed to decide what we find offensive. It must be cleared with white folks first.

if so, that's total bullshit and hypocrisy. a few clinton supporters have told me that bill gets a pass. and note the difference between internet posters and ex-presidents/candidate's husbands, or candidates. bernie has taken some heat for his remarks, the clintons should too. personally...cpgate is overblown, imho. they both were so awkward, the joke ffell as flat as the turd that it was.
