Related: About this forumAre you familiar with the right wing gas pump post it propaganda campaign???
Someone shared a picture of a post it at local gas station in Atlanta. I googled it and sure enough "hope and change working for ya yet" bullshit came up in the results related to a coordinated campaign.
They want note the price of gas in 2009 compared to now.
Hmm, what they didn't want to write down monthly jobs added early 2009 and montly jobs created now???
What idiots.

(283 posts)People are correct to note that gas in the sumer of 2008 was really high...and it WAS an election issue (candidate Obama made it one).
Anyone remember when Clinton released oil from the strategic reserve, in September 2000? I do. And he was accused of doing it to help Al Gore's campaign. Is that valid? Who knows, but the mere accusation indicates that gas prices have ALWAYS been an election issue.
To pretend differently would be sticking one's head in the sand.

I guess nothing interesting happened to gas prices between Feb 2003 and Jan 2009?"
Here is a better chart...

Gasoline price spike has only just begun
Motorists should expect to pay upwards of $3.75 a gallon in the coming weeks as prices at the pump catch up with record crude, but relief may arrive by summer.
