You said God damn it!! Taking the good lords name in vain!!!! Oh the shame. The horror. Some one save me from the ugliness.

See how that works!

If you were at the rally and took the picture how could you have taken the statement out of context when you heard it with your own ears. Or am I missing something in your post?

Sorry your child was hurt. Perhaps you should not take a child to an adult event!

I think it is too crass a word for use in a public venue, and a very stupid choice for a word used against a group that is struggling to be the first female president (so they do face real sexism) and they also play incredibly dirty so there is no way they would not grab on any loaded word.Did you come out against all of the horrible moves Hillary has done so far on first seeing them?

"Fellow traveller" is a term, often pejorative, for a person who sympathizes with the beliefs of an organization or cooperates in its activities without maintaining formal membership in that particular group. The term was first used in the early Soviet Union to characterize writers and artists sympathetic to the goals of the Russian Revolution who declined to join the Communist Party.

Same thing as corporate republican whore.

Not sexist. FACIST

They are fucking fascists. M/F/B/W/H/A/other/LGBTQ/athiest/thiest/hypocrit
/human/indy/gop/democrat

However they identify they are fucking corporate whores.

Nothing has infuriated me more than HRC milking this as a gender issue. It is not. It is not now. It was not when the term corporate whore was coined. It is accurate when calling out corporate democratic whores like DWS and when calling out corporate republican whores (like all the GOP).

He is with us not ahead of us with us. He speaks for us, but not instead of us. We aren't going to agree with everything he says and he is going to have his own opinions as well. So fuck this shit. He isn't responsible for everything that comes out of someone else's mouth. If he wants to apologize fine. He can apologize for Hiroshima and Nagasaki too I mean fuck it if we want to keep apologizing for shit we didn't do we might as well apologize for shit that matters where real people got killed and injured for life and lost family. As far as I know in this incident no one was fucking hurt. Except maybe the feelings of some Corporate Whore and her apologists.

One universe is online, where people bicker, fight, ruminate and hand wring over every damn thing that happens.

The other universe is real life--where the bigger picture is.

Bernie apologized in the bigger-picture universe. I think it's cool that he did it. This will be settled science in the newspapers and on television--and in the general sense. It's not that big of a deal.

But don't tell that to the faux outragemongers on the Interwebs! They'll continue to foam at the mouth and long after the majority has moved on. Frankly--I've heard the term "corporate whore" repeatedly from DUers of all stripes. It's manufactured controversy, because right now--there is no controversy. Remember, the Clinton campaign is in the "Destroy" phase of their oh-so brilliant, "Destroy, Defeat and Unify" grand plan.

People on DU and on other sites who continue with this faux outrage are doing this in a little online corner of the world. It doesn't matter.

91. Bernie just calming the PR...maybe some of those of you who are 'outraged' could explain this:
Thu Apr 14, 2016, 11:03 AM
Apr 2016

was it the words 'Democratic corporate whores' that are so offensive to you....

or the context/definition of what that phrase embodies?

it doesn't seem that it could possibly be both...

and if you think it was directed solely at Hillary, here again...words or definition?

if it's just the words, suggest something else that will suffice to portray the definition...

... but, wow ...

... I don't see any equivalency with Albright's remark at all.

At worst, Albright's remark was dated and off key in our current political discourse.

But, it came from an old school feminist who has been through the gauntlet and fought the battles.

The "corporate Democratic whores" remark was just disgusting.

No comparison.
