I wish he would have just outright said Hillary is a corporate whore. We've been saying it for a long time only with a lot more words.

Definition of whore

3: a venal or unscrupulous person

Pretty much nails all Repubs and many of our corporate Dems.

Dr. Song's comment was inappropriate and insensitive. There's no room for language like that in our political discourse.

for political discourse. Then again, most politicians avoid the word "liar" even when it's clear they think someone's being untruthful.

I think they all take donations from corporate interests-every damn one of them. Not really outraged by it-more interested in changing laws to limit such donations and offer full transparency. But attacking our Democratic Corporate Whores when they are simply trying to beat the Republican Corporate Whores seems like shooting our own from the rear. Our "team" has passed meaningful campaign finance laws in the past-much of it was flushed down the toilet by Citizens United and its progeny. I support candidates that want to reestablish proper limits

It's very harmful for Democrats to speak this way of one another.

Why not avoid use of that word? It isn't necessary to make the point.

The Clinton camp is 100% disingenuous in making an issue about this, it is about her financing and pay-to-play politics, not about her gender in any way.

Still, they have almost unlimited power to catapult their propaganda, so why give them anything to work with?

Just say "corporate sell-out", or whatever other phrase you prefer, problem solved.

The original statement is absolutely spot on, and addresses the fundamental difference between Clinton and Sanders. Since we own this issue, we need to amplify it loudly and often. Using language that is susceptible to misdirection from the real issue only helps the corporate side.

Let's defend the issue, and attack ruthlessly with it, it's the most important issue, it really is.

But let's not use or defend the word.

An old favorite, SNL's Celebrity Jeopardy with Sean Connery. Relevancy to the OP is the category Sean chooses, Who Reads.

edit to add: not sure why, but the time link didn't work. The Who Reads part starts at 1:41 into the clip, or just watch it all, more laughs.
