(15,426 posts)supported $12/hr nationally, but just now says she was for $15 all along. Then she yelled over Sanders when he tried to refute that point.
I guess you and I are maybe seeing her differently...which is OK.

(94,269 posts)...I think Sanders is in a stronger position for making that happen with an unequivocal call for $15.

(94,269 posts)...i don't agree that it's the same as an unequivocal call for $15.
What I will say is that there's going to be a progression in any plan to raise the wage which will likely begin somewhere north or south of $12.
I don't agree with the politics, though, of our presidential nominee accepting a lesser proposal, especially since neither actually has a chance in this republican Congress, much less the Senate.

(15,426 posts)But you know, as fervent a Bernie supporter as I am, I've got to admit that BOTH of our candidates are an order of magnitude better than Lyin' Ted or Fascist Trump. Not to mention 'Says he's moderate but he's really not' Kasich.
Now, I do not think Clinton is as far left as she is by choice, and in that sense Bernie's campaign has been a very good thing for all of us. He can still win, but if Clinton is the nominee, we have a hell of a lot better chance of keeping her honest (left of center) than we do ANY of the Republicans.
Bernie? Well, he'll be Bernie and if he wins I will be one of the millions who exert pressure on Congress to do things our way instead of catering to the MIC and Wall Street.

(94,269 posts)...but I think Clinton is on solid ground in her priorities.
There isn't enough of a recognizable and dependable government in Gaza or elsewhere which the US can rely on as accountable or responsible to our ally, Israel's security. As long as Hamas is ingratiated into Palestinian politics, there will resistance to support for an independent Palestine state, which both agree is our goal.
With issues of Israel and guns, he was speaking to his prospects in NY, where he seemed to be speaking to a campaign which is fast slipping away from him. On guns and Israel, Hillary was brilliant for a NY campaign; Bernie's positions on those issues were critically confrontational there and likely worked against him.
