http://www.inquisitr.com/2785456/is-bernie-sanders-a-one-percenter/

I’m going to conservatively estimate Bernie and Jane’s income at $290,000 annually. Between mutual fund investments and minimum real estate values Feel the Bern is Feelin’ the Wealth between $344,026 and $1,091,030. And there is no way his DC residence is worth a maximum of $100,000. You pay that for a parking space now in downtown DC. And subtracting his listed debt of $25,000 to $65,000, I still find no way the man isn’t worth over $1 million. I would estimate a true fair range is a $1.2 to $1.5 million net worth for Senator Bernie Sanders. For someone who doesn’t care about money, he goes a long way to cover up his true net worth.”

Also add the value of his Senate pension. You get to $2 million very easily.

He's so cheap he doesn't hire an accountant and has his wife do them.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=1743518

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Jewish frugality, thriftiness, and greed are among the typical themes in jokes about Jews.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Apr 15, 2016, 01:37 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: That though I don't agree with the poster, I can't hide this for that.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Appears to be a frivolous payback alert. Not playing.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a thin skinned alert, nothing was mentioned about Jewish frugality, etc, nothing here is against the TOS, if you disagree with the post, either post in response, place poster on ignore or just click on another post.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Jewish stereotypes aside, how many of us can afford to hire an accountant to do our taxes?? I'm getting a strong "concern troll" vibe from the poster... time to let MIRT take a closer look at this poster.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: frivolous alert imo.

And *we* don't have the email crap - that would be the good folks at the FBI. They are well known for spending substantial time investigating "things that aren't crimes".

But, as we know from President Obama himself, she didn't "intentionally endanger national security" because she was just (as she's admitted herself) "careless" -- exactly the sort of judgment display of a person who *belongs* in the White House.

This isn't a partisan witch hunt. This is the FBI investigating a violation of US Code (law). What if y'all make her our nominee and then she's either indicted or the FBI thinks she should be and the DoJ refuses, making the people suspicious. Do you not realize how horrible that would be in a general election?

I work in cyber security. All the analysts I know, no matter their political leanings, say if they'd done what she did, they would have already been indicted.

If she does somehow manage to win the general-- she certainly won't do it 'easily'.

This is all you got after the debate. Nothing else. Nothing about how Hillary is going to turn things around for the country. Just more slams on Bernie. You lose.

But, let's ask this. Do we we want a presidential candidate who hasn't yet released all of his tax returns but promises to soon or one who is clearly beholden to Wall Street and mega-corporations as documented by her speaking engagements/fees and campaign contributions?

He's releasing his full 2015 return today. The others will be forthcoming.

Where are the Goldman Sachs transcripts?

Plus, as the poorest member of the senate, I kind of doubt you'll find anything juicy in there. Hell, my net worth is twice his.

(1) The Sanders gross income is likely on the order of 2 or maybe 3 stipends paid to Hillary Clinton for speeches made to banks; the Sanders' fortune is on the order of 1% to 2% of the Clinton family fortune, the vast majority accumulated post Bill Clinton as POTUS. No other former POTUS has increase in wealth like Bill Clinton and no other former POTUS has formed a (family) non-profit with the endowments and breadth of The Clinton Foundation. As SOS, Clinton favored associates with financial / business ambitions and interests with inside knowledge or took their advice (see Blumenthal, Libya). The issue as a campaign item is making a mountain out of a molehill when Clinton has the financial mountains.

(2) Whatever is in the Sanders tax returns would be spun and twisted by the Clinton campaign. The Hillary Clinton campaign is not capable of acting in good faith with a competitor. If I was to advise Sanders, my recommendation would be to hold off on releasing the returns until after nominated as the Democratic POTUS candidate for the general election. Even then, I would recommend only releasing the general and having trusted individuals review and speak to the public (and GOP) on the specifics.

Sanders could have handled the tax return issue more adroitly.

I had no idea a person could do that and I also have no idea where there is an IRS service center near me. If Jane is in Rome with Bernie, it's highly unlikely there will be one nearby. You all need to get a life. Once the things come out they'll be so bloody boring you'll have to quickly change course and find a new faux issue. I vote for medical records. You guys haven't played the ageism card yet. It's long overdue.

Why do you supposed that might be? The nation--and the world--face so many issues touching on whether we will all live or die, yet many, if not most, of this forum's active members are eager to talk about anything and everything but those issues.

Strange, isn't it?
