Media disinfo alert

Note that the Pope says "He knew I was leaving at the time, and he had the courtesy to greet me"

US media, after initially reporting the correct quote, now says;

"This morning when I left, Sen. Sanders was there," the Associated Press reported the pope said. "He knew I was leaving at that time and I had the kindness to greet him and his wife."

Think you're not being fucked with? Are you happy to be fed bullshit? The answer to that question is determinative of which candidate you support.

bullshit but am so, so used to it - what else does the corporate monopoly owned media do? What I am really unhappy about is the apparent fact that so many Americans don't know they're being fed bullshit at the same time they DO know they're being fed bullshit. Weird how that works. The majority of Americans would say they don't trust the media, I would guess, but yet they will ingest, repeat, and take for granted the constantly repeated bullshit just because it is constantly repeated. Human beings don't seem to be wired to keep hold of their senses in societies where there is a constant and overwhelming campaign of disinformation. Bill Clinton and his friends pulled off quite a coup with that Telecommunications Act of 1996.

3. What does this mean? The Pope explained that Sanders knew he was leaving and made sure . . .

he was there at the time.

It was an accidental meeting at best, no "audience" with the Pope.

6. The implication of the Pope's words is that Sanders consented to meet that morning.

Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a courtesy.

Reuters and US media have now inverted Pope Francis' words to indicate that Sanders dropped in unannounced.

"Misquote" suggests lack of intent. It's not accidental - it's propaganda.

They are also loony if they think this is somehow helping Hillary. They probably don't believe her unfavorables can get any higher than they already are, but I would bet they can.
