Clinton donates millions to strapped Democratic Party

Hillary Clinton isn’t yet the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, but she’s already good for its bottom line.

The Democratic National Committee began the presidential election year almost $1 million in the hole — a bad situation that would have been even worse without the millions of dollars in fundraising that Clinton’s campaign sent its way.

That kind of assistance makes Clinton unique in the 2016 presidential field. No one else, Republican or Democrat, is raising money for his or her party at this early stage, including her Democratic rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

While that money would benefit Clinton should she capture the nomination, it comes with short-term complications. Already, Sanders allies have complained that the party favors her, pointing to the initial scarcity of debates as one example.

If Bernie is the nominee and DNC decides to recognize him I am sure he will do the same. In the mean time, DNC deserved nothing from him.

Question: Why did DNC start in the hole?

The DNC is not a democracy. It is controlled by a few with all the dough who will make sure they get the candidate they want; they make their own rules.

Here in Texas, the Democratic Party is a joke. No money flows here, and we're left with a Republican run state government so corrupt it currently has the feds and Texas Rangers coming at them. Texas Dems have an opportunity, but will they get help? Nope.

I have been a member of the party my whole life, I've volunteered and donated my own money. I have a right to criticize.

Just how badly has our esteemed party chair messed things up for this party?

If she can't win elections and she can't handle money, it's time to find somebody else.
