(9,463 posts)I mean, shouldn't you want to so that you can know if you're making the right choice? Or is it that you don't care what she says to banksters behind closed doors? What is it?

(15,805 posts)WhooHoo! What's the big payoff? Sure, team Bernie can do some yuge high fives, but then what?
What would the text show that could be any different from the standard corrupt, bribery style of politics we've become inured to over the past 30-40 years? Politicians will promise anything to solicit money from big money donors, and this is not news, so what's in there that will tip the scales and convince Hillary fans to toss the baby out with the bathwater and suddenly decide to join Bernie?
I dunno, so tell me, as an unaligned voter, what starting revelation do you hope will be enough to persuade voters like me to set aside my plusses and minuses, and choose Sanders vs Clinton based solely on a couple of predictable speeches to a special interest group?

(9,463 posts)...to the very same people who ran a criminal racket and destroyed the hopes and dreams of millions of Americans, millions of homeowners the world over, and why she is speaking to the very same people who brought down the global economy - and why she is taking money from them.
If you call that a fishing expedition, then whatever floats your fishing boat.

(15,805 posts)Look, our whole political system has been based on bribery for well over a generation. In the shameless exaltation of capitalism and greed over humans beings, we continue to elect politicians who pass laws written by corporations designed to protect them and ensure that their outrageous profits come before the needs of real people. This will not change any time soon.
Look, although it may stick in your craw, the bankers can do pretty much whatever what they want to do because they know the laws (they wrote them, after all) are on their side and they can get away with anything. More importantly, no one can, or will, stop them. Not then, not now, and probably not in the near future either.
I understand your intention is to tag Clinton as a singular wrongdoer in hopes that will be enough to make voters leave her and join your mission. Knowing history past and present (are voters leaving Trump?) proves it doesn't work like that. Even if there is a question regarding Clinton's pissant contribution to the deification of Laissez-faire capitalism, long before she came along it was entrenched and well established as a global pandemic that will be extremely difficult to rein back in, with or with these transcripts that you set such store by.

(392 posts)But I do remember Romney losing an election over a comment in a closed door meeting...
Again, I don't know what's in the Clinton speeches, but that's why folks want to know.
