(320 posts)Polls I'm seeing show Obama up in most areas. The criss-crossing the country speaking to thousands of people at each stop strikes me as riding the momentum wave.

(2,795 posts)Quit watching CNN, Fox or NBC, CBS, ABC nightly news. Your local news will likely parrot whatever the nightly news reported.
Book mark the links posted here and check only those. The news outlets are stupid dumbasses following instruction by their program managers who are probably instructed by their corporate CEOs how to report this race. It's pathetic and you have to do your own footwork to find credible information and the news programs aren't it.

(1,750 posts)Actually, I have been worrying a lot. I try to take both the good and the bad and balance out. Yes, national polls are trending against. But, electoral votes seem to be ok so far. One disappointment, the rape case did not drop Romney at all. What is good? It may do just enough to solidify electoral votes.

(19,458 posts)It's not a poll. It's a betting site that is manipulated by INVESTORS.
Plummet?
Some folks come here and try really really hard to demoralize us, but it doesn't work. Neon2012? you forgot the "c"
If you're truly concerned, this is NOT the place for it. Read the other thread, your post is completely off the rails.

Not a troll. I care deeply.
I lose sleep. My biggest fear is the appointment of a new conservative supreme court justice.
I may be pessimistic, but I'm not a troll.

(827 posts)now that he has momentum. I applaud this move. It shows he wants this badly(remember when people were doubting that?). His voice sounds like he just smoked 8 packs of Newports back to back and hasnt slept in a day. It shows drive which will be rewarded on election day.
Dont fret, the wind is at his back.

(94 posts)All the online info referred to in this thread has to be sought out.
TV is the most powerful voice in our stupid society, and right now TV says Romney is winning.
And TV does not have to be sought out by most.

(14,691 posts)I feel cautiously optimistic about Obama's chances - and I can worry my head off with the best of them, obsess, lose sleep, even lose my appetite (rarely LOL). After the first debate, I had several sleepless nights. I slept better after all the rest of the debates, didn't you? Anyway, I now have gotten to the point in this election that I'm just not watching the talking heads, and obsessively checking the polls. One poll's up the other's down and then they switch sides. Some of them are biased towards Repugs. It is what it is. Take a couple days off from all of this, then volunteer to make calls and GOTV.
