Good News, Democrats!

Now that the primaries are pretty much out of the way, we can all unite to stop the criminally insane Republican party! No need for either side to continue bashing each other, we now have a common enemy; an absurd reality tv show host with a dead squirrel on his head. The orange white supremacist:

Donald Trump.
Donald T.
Don T.
Don't.

Hillary likely would have won in the state where she resides and represented for years, even with an open primary, but the numbers would have been much less impressive. The result would have been a delegate count draw.

6. More than 4 out of 5 NY Dems didn't vote for her
Wed Apr 20, 2016, 02:32 AM
Apr 2016

Keep in mind, with 99% of the vote counted, despite the win in NY, 4 out of 5 registered Democratic voters did not vote for Clinton.

NY voters by Party registration:
http://www.elections.ny.gov/NYSBOE/enrollment/congress/congress_apr16.pdf

Election results:
http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/new-york

Math
Clinton votes: 1,037,344

Registered Democrats: 5,792,497

1037344/5792497= 17.9%

Therefore, 4 out of 5 registered Democratic voters did not vote for her.

Many people never vote...and some are now GOP but have never bothered to change their party...we run into them every election year when we call and canvas...this is why registered voter polls are alway off. She beat Bernie like a drum...she did and it is over.

What percentage of Colorado Democrats voted for Bernie?

Sanders votes: 72,846
Registered Democrats: 934,818

72,846 / 934,818 = 7.8%

http://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/VoterRegNumbers/2016/March/VotersByPartyStatus.pdf

Therefore, 11 out of 12 registered Democrats did not vote for Bernie in Colorado.

An awful person who is obviously probably crazy and hence likely to lose, or an even more awful and less obviously crazy person who is more likely to win.

It's too soon to be confident, but Trump may well be the best thing to happen to the Democrats since Goldwater.

Good message, JaneyVee. We can understand if some aren't quite ready to move on, of course.

Frankly, I don't trust what a predatory, very inadequately principled press might choose to focus on if we don't offer them a "horse race." If Bernie would replace the recent desperation-time ramped-up allegations of corruption with his previous inspiring progressive action messages, his continuing campaign would probably be a very helpful contribution to stopping the GOP.

People need time to get back on track. No sense rushing it; it won't do any good.

I also agree that Bernie could be an asset to the Democratic Party if he cuts out the negative campaigning and sticks to his income inequality message.

I am a ready to work on beating the GOP...we always say this is the most important election in a generation but with a fragile economy, health care, five possible picks for the Supremes, LGBT rights on the line, immigration and the never ending wars...not to mention Donald Trump with his finger on the nuke button...this truly is the most important election in a generation.
