Georgia on pace for RECORD black turnout!!

More than a quarter million African American voters in Georgia have already cast ballots for the November elections, the highest participation rate ever recorded by the secretary of state’s office.

According to state elections officials, 780,545 Georgians, of which 33 percent were black, had already voted in the presidential contest as of Friday.

Should the preliminary rate of participation remain steady through the close of polling on November 6, this year’s election will be recorded as the single largest black voter turn out event in state history.

http://georgiatipsheet.com/2012/10/26/despite-predictions-of-disenfranchisement-black-voter-participation-in-ga-already-above-2008-levels/

And Obama is not even contesting the state. Although we know Georgia won't likely go for Obama, it should put the meme to bed that black people aren't enthused and that they will just sit at home. This also makes feel much more optimistic about North Carolina. If blacks in Georgia are flooding the polls, the same will happen in North Carolina. I think N.C. could be the surprise of election night!

I'm not sure why the media actually thought black people wouldn't be enthused or would sit out this election. That whole MSM meme is one of the worst things perpetuated during the past several months.

Way to go Georgia!

and N.C. is definitely going Obama. Not a doubt in my mind. The enthusiasm around here is just ridicules for the President which is a wonderful thing! Oh and people are pouring into Greensboro today for the A&T homecoming. I never saw so many Obama stickers and pro-Democrat stickers on the back of cars in my life. Stickers like Proud to be a Democrat! - Mama's for Obama - Romney = Rape - Vote Intellect! - I want my Obamacare and I want it now and so many more I couldn't remember them all.

will be canvassing in Greensboro for four hours tomorrow. At this point, it's about reminding occasional voters about voting and giving them voter guides. The nice thing is the first class door hangers which is essentially a voter guide itself to leave if there's no answer.

Also, I've been keeping voter guides in my car and in my place of business to give out to Dem voters. I also ask if other family members have voted yet. If not, I give them extras. Go by your local county office, pick some up, and do the same.

Maybe Dems can pick up a couple Congressional seats? And although Obama isn't projected to win GA, if that kind of turnout keeps pace you never know. Wouldn't that be a shocker!
