2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'm a loyal Bernie supporter who was just blocked from the Bernie group? Really?
This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Hassin Bin Sober (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).
I guess you can't say anything there that sounds like you are more pro-America than pro-Bernie. Does anyone know of another forum were I can discuss the primaries without having to be mean to those that don't agree? I don't think that trying to see the opposing point of view should be discouraged.

(1,220 posts)build a better infrastructure so that the campaign of our progressive candidate can instruct voters, well in advance, on how to register to be able to vote in their particular state. I thought that the Bernie campaign kind of dropped the ball in this area.

Hillary's team reconsidered.
I've never had a post hidden.
Can't even remember ever having a post alerted.
Things are very touchy right now.

(30,481 posts)I never wanted to be blocked from the Sanders group. I think groups serve a great purpose and I respect them. One pro-Sanders post and they gave me the boot within minutes.

(1,511 posts)I was asking for a link and got some weird conspiracy theory with a bit too much hate, so I told the poster they were off topic (because at the time I was still positive and trying to not argue and remain neutral)...and I was banned, not allowed in, and called names for asking how to block the Hillary feed. Honestly blocking the feed is the best thing to do if you are blocked, no reason to deal with closed groups that are block crazy.

If you aren't the acceptable type of Sanders supporter you will be viewed with suspicion and eventually blocked.
Funny thing
.I was blocked from HRC group last year for a similar reason - my request for accuracy instead of exaggeration.

(3,964 posts)I had posted 30+ favorable articles on Senator Sanders in the group, too. I guess they didn't like how I promoted Secretary Clinton in the GDP.

(1,048 posts)I was blocked from the Bernie group on my first day for expressing an opinion that didn't involve kissing his ring. Anything critical or doubtful said about Bernie will get you blocked from that group. At times I try to respond to a post not realizing its the Bernie group and get the "You have been blocked from the Bernie Sanders group by one of its members"
Whatever...some people are too damn sensitive.

(1,511 posts)I have no problem with the Sanders/Pope meeting, but if he wants my vote
He will have to develop some sort of faith. It just seems empty (and even pandering) that an avowed agnostic is touting a visit with the head of a church he was not raised in, or seemingly has any connections. I could never vote for a candidate who does not think that some divine intervention is needed in such a powerful job.
Before anyone bashes me, I dont yet firmly support either candidate. I have been going back and forth between the two my state doesnt vote until June. There are great things about both, and things I really dont like about both but the faith issue with Sanders really bothers me. And honestly, a connection with the Catholic church doesn't really fly. Why pick the most oppressive, wealthiest, and corrupt of all?
I read this on your profile, it is a bit of an attempt to paint him as an atheist, which as an atheist would be fine by me, but he has said he isn't. Seems like you are trying to claim he is not religious like Hillary claimed Obama is a muslim (like that matters either). You also go on to attack the visit to the pope? So you are not for the church, but you demand a religious candidate? What was the post that got you banned?

Sometimes, it is not one post that gets someone blocked but a pattern of posting. And, yes, claiming Bernie was pandering because he accepted an invitation to speak on the causes of his lifetime does seem like a bit of a red flag.

(1,511 posts)Or not in the main feed. I said nothing wrong about Hillary in my thread at all, just told someone we were going off topic...then block city. But the journal is very odd and fits the narrative of the many "Bernie Supporter" articles online that are posted by researchable Hillary propaganda army (the I am a Socialist but, or the one done by the corporate law lawyer).

I've looked at some of your recent posts, and think you will be a good fit.
