(51,122 posts)What if the current president of the young Republicans at Hillary's former college became a Democrat and voted for Bernie?
griffi94
(3,830 posts)She's going to be an excellent president.
She was already organizing and leading while she was still in college.
She has the experience we need.

(3,830 posts)Bernie catching or passing her in pledged delegates isn't going to happen.
He's out of delegate rich states and he's out of time.
The supers aren't going to flip.
Should he keep flaming the Democratic Party as being equally corrupt as the GOP
some supers may flip from Bernie to Hillary.
He wanted to run as a Democrat.
He needed the Democratic Party the party doesn't need him for anything...at all.
It's time for him to either suspend his campaign or tone down the attacks.
He ran, he lost, game over.

(1,788 posts)working at fast food. My husband was a republican when I married him...he was 23. He is now I lovely bleeding heart lib, so not everyone stays the same. It's so sad when people don't grow out of their 17 year old self, there's so much to learn. We take things from that time, that help make us what we are today, but as life, that's not the whole. Now it may be for you, but most are not like that.

It's not the NAME of the party that is important, it is the VALUES they represent that determines what you stand for.

(69,364 posts)Polls showed some Republicans choosing to vote for Bernie. This was cheered on DU.

(6,007 posts)What defines "Republican" and "Democrat" is not an "R" or "D" by your name. They represent certain core policies and principles. . . It is more than just a name.
It's as plain as day where each one stands.
