(1,511 posts)We all knew they were fake like the Obama Boys that they played last time. But to deny is not a move someone like Bernie would do, he simple said if people are doing it stop. I agree with that. But he did not coin the term or spread it.
Tarc
(10,601 posts)If Bernie believes in your jingoistic shtick, he would have come out and said just what you are, that the "bros" are not real supporters, they were just Hillary shills, etc... But no, he didn't do that. He readily acknowledged them as a part of his base, and told them in no uncertain terms to get the fuck out.
I am more aligned with Hillary in many areas, but Sanders himself is an honorable and decent man...far more so than some of his base.
northernsouthern
(1,511 posts)The HRC calls us delusional when Bill is standing in front of a polling station on multiple cameras and we call electioneering.
But not sure the point in discussing with you "If Bernie believes in your jingoistic shtick". What the hell does that even mean? Are you insulting us for being pro-American, or are you imply some sort of red or Nazi smear?
Tarc
(10,601 posts)Sanders himself idenfited a misogynist element within his support base and told the "bros" to take a hike. There's nothing else to it; the "bros" actually existed, they were not a joe-job or a smear by the Clinton campaign.
Nice non sequitur about Bill though; A for effort, F for results.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Not sure if it is worth reporting twice, I toned down responses, told them they were off topic, and not they are back to sexist attacks that have nothing to do with the post.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Apr 23, 2016, 07:09 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This DU'er is way over the line is some of these posts. I hope they leave soon.... Truly offensive and out of place here.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a benign opinion about a candidate, so NOT personal. The alerter is a childish whiner. Grow up or get out of GD-P. NOT ALERTABLE OR HIDEABLE.

The re-gift could have been "And your candidate's supporters don't know character".... not a personal attack.
The "You" shows that either you are identifying with his supporters so strongly that you cannot admit at the moment that some have behaved badly and felt personally attacked.... or you actually are striking out at the user instead of his message.

(151,269 posts)As long as I have been involved in politics, which is almost 60 years, campaigns have made images, slogans, and other such collateral available to supporters to promote the campaign.
It appears that history is repeating itself in 2016. It's easier now, since a person can copy and paste such collateral and post it here and there around the Internet. I've seen lots of such things, from all of the campaigns, everywhere I go.
I imagine we'll see these and other campaign posters, etc. frequently as the campaign goes forward. Why would anyone be surprised?
Here's an interesting thing, though: You have posted a whole series of Clinton campaign images right in the original post of this thread adding to their availability to all and sundry.
I'm sure the campaign is grateful to you for doing that. And I'm equally sure you weren't paid to post them. Neither will others who post them be paid.
northernsouthern
(1,511 posts)They are not about posters, they have existed long before our time...it is about fake bots going out and posting, paid posters to lie, mimic, infiltrate, create false positive and negative narratives...it is something you would expect in Russia or in a place closer to a dictatorship...but not in the US.
Why did I post them? Because I have to post the link anyways or I will be called a liar, and the point is IF YOU SEE THEM then be careful, they are being used by this group, so even the Hillary people should be careful, we are not eye to eye, but that doesn't mean I should not warn them of the scam.
MineralMan
(151,269 posts)The third one was especially interesting, since it involved people posting those images on places like the Facebook pages of superdelegates who are supporting Hillary Clinton. The idea is to counter the ugly stuff being posted on them by people who claim to support Bernie Sanders.
Now, I don't know about you, but I've visited the Facebook pages of my two Senators and my congressional representative. Al Franken's FB page is chock full of comments from people calling him a traitor. My representative, Betty McCollum, has someone deleting such ugly negative comments from her page.
So, I don't really have much of a problem with Clinton supporters, paid or unpaid, posting those small graphics, that appear to be designed for posting in comment areas. It's a good way to reply to so-called Sanders supporters who are threatening those superdelegates and calling them vile names.
So, yes, I did read the links. Every campaign pays people to campaign for it. There are paid staffers and others doing that for every candidate, including Bernie Sanders. Of course, there are also people pretending to be Sanders supporters who are posting vile garbage in the same places.
I don't know - it seems like a political campaign to me. There's always dirt and responses to that dirt. I see nothing ominous in what you posted. Truly, I do not.
northernsouthern
(1,511 posts)Let me get this straight, you are in favor of a paid group going to create FALSE support for a party official that have voted against the will of the people in that state? So you are saying it is ok for a paid propaganda group from another part of the country to go in to local politics and subvert the peoples right to petition the government? You are arguing for some pretty disgusting things, you are on the wrong side of history right now...for a party that loves to paint Trump as a Nazi she is getting a bit too Storm Departmenty for me...
