It's called campaigning. While campaigning the candidates spend their time listening to the people's issues. Bernie went to Flint on Feb 15, 2016. Clinton went Feb 6th. Evidently he was copying the Clinton campaign and moving in her direction.

Hillary made a speech at a church and turned it into a commercial. In February. February 7th.

Bernie did NOT make a commercial of his town hall forum. I was there. The church was packed. People told Bernie about all the terrible financial and health issues they were dealing with. He NEVER made a speech to the people attending the town hall. He actually directed the event. He let the attendees and professionals tell what the facts and solutions were.

His campaign office in downtown Flint gives away tons of free water to ANYONE. No questions asked - which - if you are from Flint, would know that undocumented migrant workers who work in Flint are too scared to go to stations where water is given out BECAUSE they must show ID's. So - the families that are undocumented still get poisoned water.

He talks about Flint at every campaign event in every city he goes to. He is constantly is bringing up Flint's water crisis every chance he gets.

AND he's STILL a member of the Senate. He can actually create legislation to help Flint.

She can get to the White House, but not with my vote. I compare this election to an NFL game. At this point in my life, I am in the third quarter and all these young people are in the beginning if the first quarter, This election is for those young people and that is who I am supporting. This is their America! This is their tomorrow! We seniors have had our say now let them have theirs. I will vote all down ballots and will write in Bernie Sanders for President.

The winners in New York were Wall Street, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance companies and Corporate America. With Hillary at the helm, they will continue, with no shame, transporting their wealth out of the country. Corporate greed is the cancer of America, eating away at our economy and leaving the youth of America stranded with insurmountable levels of debt for getting an education is shameful!

I will not abandon Bernie. I will follow him all the way to CA! GO BERNIE

The program ends Nov 2016. Basically, the city will employ young people to act as goodwill ambassadors to the community - doing assorted tasks, such as food delivery, changing out filters, etc.

These press releases are vague on the actual details. $500,000 and they don't say how many employees will be hired. Barely scratching the surface of this catastrophe. Nice PR, though

Now, for a better idea of the situation, (although a rather conservative estimate):

http://www.wired.com/2016/01/heres-how-hard-it-will-be-to-unpoison-flints-water/

This quote, "the cost of replacing all the lead pipes in Flint at $60 million. And the project will take 15 years" seems a little more realistic.

The exploitation during this campaign has been nauseating. Even worse if we look back we see it is a disgusting pattern.
I think of Bill Clinton's "I feel your pain" quote and the irony is striking since they created painful situations for millions of people and called it a success. Mass incarceration- successfully eliminated people from the pool of unemployed people. Successfully destroyed opportunities for college, employment, and access to food for many people. Successfully created a situation where families simultaneously lost income and the possibility for financial assistance. One Walmart after another opened in my area because of the large pool of desperately poor individuals whose only reasonable strategy is to put up with mistreatment so that they can feed their children.
So many people are suffering and see little or no hope. Your post is a completely logical response to having the terrible reality you are dealing with exploited. I don't understand how anyone, dismiss it.
