Newt took a pass but Perry is going after him - demanding he release his tax returns!
Fun stuff...

(62,536 posts)...deregulation rhetoric is amazingly fucked up!
oberliner
(58,724 posts)He responds by repeating the attacks on Santorum from the ads!
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)And he did that in his little meek little small voice and it was golden.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)A lot of whooping and cheering from the crowd!
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)I noticed though that Paul didn't get cheered nearly as much as you'd have expected.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)He really must have something to hide.

(58,724 posts)They seem to love him in that room.
Questions, though, are pretty much yawners.
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)Fucking racist motherfuckers.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)It is pathetic (and scary).
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)My god.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)One lame question so far.
And enough with the cheering already.
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)About foreign policy. Watch Paul Waffle.
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)Ron Paul, the anti-MIC candidate!
Fuck this is glorious!

(58,724 posts)What were they booing exactly?
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)They love it when they do it to "our guy" (Obama birth certificate), but not "their guy."
oberliner
(58,724 posts)Thanks for the exchange!
oberliner
(58,724 posts)Good thing he got this question from Juan Williams to get him back on track.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)One thing about him is that he sticks with his line without worrying too much about his audience.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)One wonders if this is all part of some plan...

(160 posts)help anyone? Somethin about "i dont care if liberals get angry... I'm gonna get all the poo' people in america job and better jobs and own the bizz" that got a standing applause?
30 secs in, let's see how long I last.

(58,724 posts)Wasn't George W Bush running on a "no nation building" platform once upon a time?
I know, I know, 9/11 changed everything!

I've heard establishment repubs savage Paul far worse than anything you'd read here. They hate him.
But Paul says what he believes, whether anyone likes it or not, and I can't help but admire that.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)Cheering killing. Booing Ron Paul talking about "the Golden Rule"?
Any Christians in the audience?
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them"

(160 posts)Perry is fookin crazy, holy crap. Even when he's trying to sound smart he fails miserably. He's off on cliche tangents...
I friggin love Ron Paul. He's losing this debate, but watching Repubs openly jeer against the Golden Rule and Habeus Corpus is gonna make a great addition for the political time capsule.
Romney stops speaking, his hands drop, and his head cocks as he waits for the polite applause. <yawn>
Gingrich-Steph said it best "angry attack muffin"
oberliner
(58,724 posts)Whiny and irritating?
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)Not going to go over well with Paul supporters.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)If there is an internet poll out there - he will win it.

(58,724 posts)He can only handle the sound-bites - can't handle anything improvised.
I think Obama would wipe the floor with him.
Though I would've thought the same thing about Bush.
Mitt wants super PACs to disappear?
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)They admit that they left it out and the outrage by supporters is making them analyze it.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)Then why are we wasting time with all this?
He laughs off Ron Paul - but then takes it seriously with respect to everyone else.
How can these stats mean anything on everyone else but Paul?
joshcryer
(62,536 posts)They really downplayed it a lot. A lot of Ron Paul supporters are not happy campers right now. And Fox News, knowing Ron Paul doesn't have a chance in hell of getting elected, is trying to control the narrative.
I can't deny that Ron Paul has a very respectable grassroots movement, and a massive presence on the internet.
Fox News, however, is.
