If HRC takes PA by 5, DE by 3, and MD by 10 but loses RI by 3 and CT by 2, the total net for HRC would be 5+3+10-3-2=13. That's 13 <rofl> smilies I will put in place every time I respond to you. (362 posts)In case of Hillary, she is not an intelligent person and others probably ran the Department. She actually believed that the Benghazi violence was the result of Muslims becoming mad at a youtube video. She does not even realize that such a characterization of Muslims is racist.
If you have seen her emails, you will see that she seems uncomfortable with technology and gives directions to her staff to please print the email. She also does not tweet herself. This is clear because tweets were appearing when she was in the debate. Somewhere it says that if the tweet is directly from her, it will be indicated. My guess is that she orally dictates the tweets and someone else has to tweet it for her while she is awestruck by the idea that technology can do things like sending out tweets.

(1,473 posts)While it has since proven true that there was not a protest outside the facility precipitating the attack, the notion that the attack had absolutely nothing to do with the YouTube video (a clip showing an excerpt from the anti-Islam film The Innocence of Muslims that sparked protests and riots in dozens of countries, many of which outside U.S. diplomatic missions) is simply not supported by the facts. In reality, many witnesses who were interviewed shortly after the attack said that the militants from the Ansar al-Sharia brigade were chanting about the video during the assault on the facility.
As reported in the L.A. Times, Witnesses said members of the group that raided the U.S. mission specifically mentioned the video, which denigrated the prophet Muhammad.
The Associated Press reported, There was no sign of a spontaneous protest against an American-made movie denigrating Islams Prophet Muhammad. But a lawyer passing by the scene said he saw the militants gathering around 20 youths from nearby to chant against the film. Within an hour or so, the assault began, guns blazing as the militants blasted into the compound.
The New York Times reported the month after the attack: To Libyans who witnessed the assault and know the attackers, there is little doubt what occurred: a well-known group of local Islamist militants struck the United States Mission without any warning or protest, and they did it in retaliation for the video. That is what the fighters said at the time, speaking emotionally of their anger at the video without mentioning Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden or the terrorist strikes of 11 years earlier.
This doesnt mean that the video served as the only reason for the attack. There is some evidence to suggest that perhaps the attack also served as retaliation for the death of Libyan militant and al-Qaeda associate Abu Yahya al-Libi who was killed in a U.S. drone strike three month earlier. But the claims that the attack had nothing whatsoever to do with the video do not comport with the evidence.

(13,685 posts)How embarrassing it is that your leader can't even keep state secrets.
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)I have only one person I call my leader, and that's myself.
At best, they weren't state secrets when she got them and if there was ever a danger of them becoming retroactively secret, then these security agencies should have stopped her from having the server. If this actually is an issueand I do not believe that it isthey're as at fault as she is since they were in this game longer than her and they must have known that it was always possible that items would be retroactively classified.
Moreover, what the heck is retroactively classified anyway? That's like trying to put toothpaste back in a tube.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)I have to laugh at your: It's the agencies fault for her breaking the law. That is a funny one.
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)... I imagine there are IT people and security people saying what you can and cannot do and clearly she did this with someone's approval. If they knew the potential for this existed, why was it allowed?
Either way, it's such a tempest in a teacup. Even your leader doesn't care about these emails and he's had plenty of horrible things to say about Hillary.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)The FBI is investigating. Have been for sometime.
Your new funny is like blaming cops for robberies. They knew robberies were gonna happen, why didn't they stop it?

(1,729 posts)Napolitano is not a journalist. That is a right wing opinion show. You don't think this represents a bizarre change of tone here? Moreover, how much of a Ring Winger can Hillary be if the Right Wingers hate her so much?
As for who my leader is, I already stated that: myself.
But some of you here are so condescending, it really tempts me to sit this election out if your guy wins.
Mind you, I won't, but it's tempting.
Not that I need to worry. I probably have a better chance of hitting Powerball than Bernie has at being president at this point.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)Yes, the FBI is a known right wing org and they are on the trail of someone who, it appears, has spread state secrets around like candy. If it were one of us we'd be in jail already.
When they do get her, Bernie will have run of the field. Now that's gonna leave a Bern mark, isn't it?
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)... but then you knew that already.
As for mad, my sig file should say how much fun I'm having this primary season. It's been years since I've had the right opportunity to use an Exorcist reference in a meme.
And by tomorrow night, I'll be cackling a whole lot more. I actually thought people should be a little nicer this primary season, but then I joined to talk about the vatican visit and was treated so incredibly viciously that schadenfreude does not begin to explain the arrogant joy I will feel when Bernie finally loses. I am probably going to throw a party at the swankiest restaurant in town and treat myself to a staircase of caviar.

I was not on a time-out when I messaged you. It was the hide right after that that timed me out. If I were on a time-out, I would not have been able to message you because the system wouldn't allow it.
But whatever. It was a lame hide as are most of them here and it's the abuse of the system here that makes me cheer whatever happened on Facebook. I'm sure it was only a glitch, but if a bunch of Hillary supporters exploited the flaws in Facebook's system, I'm glad because it's done here every day.

The last time I said Fox news wasn't worthy of being posted here, I was hidden and accused of attacking a longtime DU'ers character when I said absolutely nothing about this individual personally and only addressed the issue of using Fox News as a source.
But heck, I will say it again, I think Fox News is unworthy of being posted here. Even if some of their journalism might be factual, it's always heavily spun right and, moreover, these type of pundit shows are not journalism at all. They're right wing opinion pieces.

I suspect that you find his "clear explanation" so plausible because he shores up your own acquired views on Clinton. You, like many other Sander's fans, find a shared affinity with so many of these influential Republican propagandists because of your like-minded anti-Hillary rhetoric.
That's very troubling. Democrats are not supposed think like Republicans, let alone hold them up as a trusted source of factual data just because they are glib showmen who understand how to tell the rubes exactly what they want to hear to close the deal.
