moriah
(8,312 posts)... unless you have references to a legitimate news story suggesting that Hillary's going to drop dead in four to eight years...
That an internet diagnosis from you or a person who has repeatedly said they won't vote for Hillary ever is inane to actually take seriously.
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)I know the effects of some drugs. And if it is under control, no worries. But that photo either has a serious distortions, or...there is something we have not been told. By the way, as secretive as the campaign is acting, I expect medical records right after transcripts. And normally people are protected under HIPPA, but that photo is of concern.
As I said, I don't expect the time of day from the campaign. But who she chooses as her veep, is a critical choice.
moriah
(8,312 posts)Do you feel that there's something critical missing from them and they are no longer accurate?

(8,178 posts)It's actually my opinion.
moriah
(8,312 posts)We all have them, and at least one person on the internet thinks ours stinks.
Still, there are some opinions that, in the interest of trying to take the higher road, might ought better be held until a bathroom.
Dem2
(8,178 posts)I can't un-say it, I so feel some things need to be noted if people are to learn and grow.
moriah
(8,312 posts)My family had issues with alcoholism and addiction, and so.when I was old enough to participate and benefit, I started attending Alateen.
The biggest rules they had was that as a support group, we were there to share our experience, strength, and hope with others -- not to judge or tell them what to do. Later on, when reading about therapeutic recommendations for communication in couples counseling, using "I feel" instead of "You are", statements, etc, the message in Alateen interactions resonated for me.
It may seem like overparsing of language, pussyfooting around a point when you'd rather just call a spade a bloody shovel (to totally mix metaphors and hopefully not get my first hide ever), etc, to carefully read what you say when you speak about another poster rather than an issue, but on the Internet it's really essential to remember we are real people on the other side.
Unless ELIZA registers, at least.

(154,021 posts)Are you telling me records from the CiC should not be released.
Learn to read. I also wrote it could very well be distortions, to be specific lens distortion due to focal length. I also said I do not expect the campaign to release them either

(21,328 posts)1. You made a post where you said, directly, that you think there's something we're not being told about her health.
2. I accused you of idly speculating about something of which you know nothing.
3. You dismissed the accusation altogether.
4. I ask what you're trying to get at.
5. You post... this, which doesn't make any sense in the context of what happened.
I'm confused. Explain yourself clearly and don't do the cutesy little "I don't know. It could be this terrible thing, but it could be something more innocent. Who knows?" That's a cowardly tactic and you should be ashamed.

But I am not a fan of physical attacks as they have nothing to do with issues. I see you are talking about health, but cameras like that have a tendency to distort and flatten an image. I would take her looks with a grain of salt unless it was from a good camera.
Edit: not just a good camera, but a professional as well that knows that medications she is taking or allergies, since many things can happen that mean nothing. Plus if health is an issue for a woman, heart attacks present asymptomatic , which is one of the saddest things for a person you love to just pass away with no warning. I am sure unlike most of us Hillary is fine, she can afford a doctor...I on the other hand have a crappy Obama care insurance plane that does not offer health check ups or the like because we failed our people.
BernieforPres2016
(3,017 posts)I am an avid photographer so I understand the distortion involved with extreme closeup shots like this one. But I still think her face looked awfully puffy there. I don't have any confidence that the health issues of either Clinton have been fully disclosed.
northernsouthern
(1,511 posts)I figured you were commenting on her health, but I was just saying I am not the biggest fan of commenting on looks. We can say what we like, but I get a bit put off when people talk about her looks. Plus I am not a fan of us talking about her health...it has a bit of a negative vibe. I leave that to the other ream to do.
Besides this post is on the bigger deal of how the HRC supporters are fine with such corruption and dirty tactics, but then can turn around and insult republicans for the same thing.

(1,729 posts)... but clearly I don't deal with condescending well and some of these folks can work my last nerve. But even then, it's all in fun to me. I never really let it get me too upset. I was here in '08 too. I just never posted, mostly because of how insane it was, but this is worse. I'm not sure what possessed me to sign up seeing all this. Well I do know. I had a lot of issues with that vatican visit.

(1,729 posts)Now that I put myself out there so that people would stop using the "you're a paid troll" line, the same people who called me a paid troll are now going after my personal life and career, all without for a moment admitting that they lied about my being a paid troll. Yep, that's the Bern for you.
Whatever they think of me, I thank all that is holy and unholy that this man is not going to be our next president and I don't care how they feel about it.

(8,312 posts)If that is happening, as in a user taking DU out of DU and stalking you, this needs to be brought to Skinner's attention at the very least.

nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)But I could care less really. I built my whole empire on controversy and I'm not about to start apologizing for it now. As I said to this person, I am practically a textbook narcissist. I'd rather he spend all his time talking about me, or even horrible lies that have been said about me, than talk to me like I'm some random troll on Hillary's payroll. LOL
If he wants to make DU all about my public career, it's just more PR for me. I've been falsely accused of more crap than Hillary ever had thrown at her, minus Ron Brown's plane (I think I hear that passing over GDP now). And all it's ever really accomplished is that people wanted to come over to see what I was really about because they couldn't understand that I wasn't in jail for all these horrific things I've supposedly done.
It's certainly a big part of Hillary's appeal for me. I always want to know what she's doing because there's gotta be something great about her that people make up all this crap about her every ten minutes.
My god, I've been called everything. I don't care. I'm still here.

(8,312 posts)I think that this dude alerted on a group, and then when it actually worked because of FB's claimed glitch, got proud of himself, bragged, etc.
He should still go DIAF, but I don't think the fact he got to a rally with her and did the selfie like politicians do with random people they meet actually proves some conspiracy between him and Hillary.

(1,511 posts)Well there are images that show he was doing it,and people agreed to too.

And snopes says there is yet to a real address of the issue.
Also facebook parsed its words in a way that seems to indicate it was a result of flagging (content review process)...

That could simply mean they had the threshhold way too loaw, or did not have something to flag this action of political parties being targeted. Trust me I know this, you will not have one of our tech firms come out and say "oh yeah, you flag it enough it is open season"...just look up the story on the apple logo and google maps.

(5,827 posts)Mrs. Clinton will be better than Trump. Every election year since 2008, you all are voting for the lesser of two evils. This election year, Mrs. Clinton is much more better than a trump or a cruz! Let's see how she does in progressing President Obama's policies and am sure the republican senate and house will not hate her as much as they did towards President Obama.
Those fuckers in the republican senate and house vowed to get President Obama out of a job on day 1 and it is because of all their blocks to his policies that Trump is doing do well.
You all have to regroup if Mr. Sanders bows out and support Mrs. Clinton. Once again, the SC is at stake, Mrs. Clinton will not accept a republican to replace Scalia.
northernsouthern
(1,511 posts)One , what does any of this have to do with the post, please stay on topic...
Two, no, just no. She is now tying with Trump in the MOE on polls, she is our weakest candidate, she has over played the victim card and Trump instantly jumped on that today. She has cried wolf on good people and that is giving ammo to the bad. She is hated as much as Obama so she will get destroyed by house and senate. She has alienated the youth and independent vote....destroyed turn out, so bye-bye down tickets! Trump attacked Obama for being a Muslim and for being not american...Hillary created both attacks with the "make him unamerican" strategy, this is never going to be ok. And always bringing up the SC? Hillary is ok with the horrible Obama choice.
