Maybe even apologize and say they were glad Bernie was in the race.
Don't fall for it!
Re-read some of their old posts to remind you of their real feelings!

(8,312 posts)... or GE footing will take place at least by late July.
Given I dealt with the disappointment in 2008, I feel sympathetic. Most of my sympathy is for the people in states who haven't gotten to vote yet but the primary seems statistically over. I wasn't one of them in 2008 -- Arkansas has went with early dates usually, even if we're rarely in play in the GE.
But I know what it's like to be sad after working your heart out for a candidate, and them not win. And what it's like to look at the bigger picture in the General.
At that time, as you know, DU will be flooded by trolls, and we won't be able to tell which are attacking Hillary from the left or the right, concern-trolls, whatever.
I don't want any purges of long-term posters, but if their posts can't be told apart from the GOP trolls... then if we do ever get a jury system that works, the people who can't accept the Nominee and are rude about it won't he here. Like they weren't in 2008. And the website and campaign were better off then.
Of course, you hopefully realize that I am speaking in generalities. I had ankle surgery March 15th, and prefer DU when we're all working for the same goal.
Edit: I made an OP about this that didn't get traction, but it might explain my feelings better....

(814 posts)Phonebank for the downticket Bernie Dems. and learn how to code and understand how Meshnet works. You see, if Hillary OR Trump gets in, they're likely going to try and tank our free, open Internet and bring back the Cable and Terresterial Gatekeepers back up to prevent another Bernie from getting a chance. You need to be prepared.
They're going to try the same thing with Amy Goodman, the Intercept, Wikileaks, etc.

(14,915 posts)I don't think you do. If you're losing long time dems like myself, I don't see how you win vs a revved up GOP machine. But, while I will not be voting for your candidate, I will wish you the best of luck.

(6,719 posts)I blame MSM for Trump. Senator Sanders had nothing to do with the collection of 17 candidates on the GOP side and nothing to do with the elimination of 14 of them. Sanders really had nothing to do with the emergence of clinton as the front runner on the other side. That was long planned with the DNC. So I guess I need you to try again. I don't get it.

(3,133 posts)I don't like the way the democratic party was so undemocratic. I don't like the way they are not standing up to the election fraud and vote caging.
I don't like the debate schedule, after large states could not change their party. I don't like the lies Hillary told and the lies she sent her daughter out to tell about Bernie.
I don't like any of it.
Therefore, I will not be here clicking, to debate the general race. Why? Because every time you 'click', the owners of this board get paid. So when we fight and the thread is on fire? They make MORE money.
So I won't contribute to that. I don't like the way Berner's were treated here at DU. The stacked juries, etc. So after the convention, I truly won't be here. There are many ways to skin a cat.

(2,900 posts)a criminal I will never be nice to. To hell with them. If you called Clinton corrupt and a criminal, I would rather have lunch with a Republican, thank you.
I predict that the posters who called Clinton corrupt and criminal will not start playing nice, will not sing kumbayay, and will go the full Nader. They preferred to vote for Nader in 2000, they loved having GWB instead of Al Gore and having something to whine about. Their political descendants are alive and well.
I also predict that Sen. Sanders is not among them. I predict that he will endorse Hillary Clinton no later than the convention. I make this prediction based on his statements that he would support the nominee and based on how he has run the vast majority of the campaign.
As for being mean to the bros, I won't apologize or back down or change. They are a nasty bunch and if they want a fight with this Clinton supporter, they can count on one!
