(102,007 posts)I'd like to hear the OP's reasoning.

(223 posts)surged plus 2 in both independents and whites in one round of releases. Also approval. I track internals for hints of future movement. Must be totally honest with you, now is when a robopoll is at its most useless, as most younger hipper, (More Dem) people are going to Halloween parties and such. This poll did not release yesterday which tells me they may have looked at the VA poll and scratched their head and examined the discrepancy. They know as well as I do that VA matches closely the US in demographics. Expect to see adjustments made and POTUS leading soon.

!) Why aren't Latinos a subcategory
2) O is winning the black vote 95% -2% but only winning the non-white vote 70%-28%. That means he is close to splitting Latinos. . To that I say GTFOOH
3) Obama is only winning Dems 78%-20%.

(31,464 posts)"Internal" refers to the campaigns' own private polling. If ABC has a poll, it would ABC's poll, not an "internal" poll.
JiminyJominy
(340 posts)is confusing "Internal Polling" with "Crosstabs".
Internal Polling generally refers to the the polling done by campaign themselves which helps dictate strategy.
Crosstabs generally refer to the data within any poll that give specifics relating to demographics, gender, race, etc..
DemocratSinceBirth
(102,007 posts)He is referring to the internals of the poll and not internal polling.
I'd like him to answer my questions.
tbennett76
(223 posts)yes I mean crosstabs, sometimes referred to as internals ask away.

(223 posts)92-7 and is down 16 with Indies, but this is actually up four in one round. Whites are coming back to the 40 range probably because they are able to get them on the phone honestly. Also debate nights did skew GOP because they were at home watching in disproportionate numbers relative to Dems. Once that fell off, Obama rose, but this is also a very good night of polling for POTUS. Hispanics are a small subgroup, and have a high margin of error. I am opening up my own polling company soon. I will be doing monthly 1,000 person samples of Asians, AA's, Latinos, and whites, and using that as my static measurements for preferences, and then monitor smaller samples of subgroups of those demographics for change in preference. I will also stratify cell phone use by region. I will then monitor for overall enthusiasm.
