But it's all in fun anyway. My favorite Obama lines of the night:

"We've got the bright new face of the Democratic Party here tonight, Mr. Bernie Sanders! Bernie, you look like a million bucks. Or to put it in terms you'll understand, you look like 37,000 donations of $27 each."

I wonder if most caught that the best zinger of that line was "new face" given how long Bernie's been in politics.

"I do apologize, I know I was a little late tonight. I was running on CPT -- which stands for jokes that white people should not make."

Yeah, it zinged Hillary but it was fun.

"I am a little hurt that you're distancing yourself from me, Bernie. That's not something you do to your comrade."

"Comrade." hehehehehe.

And my absolute favorite of Obama's lines of the night:

"There's one area where Donald's experience could be invaluable, and that's closing Guantanamo. Because Trump knows a thing or two about running waterfront properties into the ground."

The CPT one went right over my head initially, like huh? ... what's that about?
but my gf filled me in.

I thought that graphic shown of Hillary's campaign slogging up a steep hill was
a little odd, as in unflattering; but then he made up for it with his "Next year,
there will be another president standing here, and no one knows who she will be".

My favs included praising Biden for managing to "not shoot anyone in
the face", and the one about "not being this high since choosing my
major".

Do you honestly believe she couldn't have gone if she had really wanted to? I'm sure he probably hit some paper pusher up at CBS just like he hit up Sorondo. Bernie is probably a scalper's best friend.

Hillary had better things to do. She works hard for the money.

Hillary Clinton is also not expected to be in the crowd Saturday, but that didn't mean she and her campaign let the opportunity go to waste.

Last night in Washington the Hillary campaign made use of the fact that the 'Scandal' cast would be in town for the dinner and held a closed-door fundraiser for the Democratic frontrunner.

On the invitation, which was leaked to the Sunlight Foundation's Party Time blog, cast members Guillermo Diaz, Tony Goldwyn, Katie Lowes, Jeff Perry and Bellamy Young were to be joined by Clinton aides Huma Abedin and Jake Sullivan for a $5,000-a-ticket reception.

Obama really skewered her. That, plus Biden's recent nods to Bernie, makes me think the White House doesn't really like The Hillary much.

The White House has made nods to both candidates throughout this cycle. Trying to parse them one way or another would be a foolish game. Obama likes his "comrade" and he also likes the person ready to be president on day one. As to his routine, why would he dedicate most of it to a dead bird.

Also, Hillary was not at the fundraiser and I know for a fact that Tony Goldwyn and Huma Abedin attended both since it ended at 8:30 and they didn't start eating at the WHCD until 9+.
