AG Loretta Lynch interviewed byAl Hunt.

It was on the Charlie Rose Show. I saw it when it was shown and rewatched it on Hulu (couldn't find it elsewhere).

It has to be treated like any other case, people have to have confidence...

We owe it to them to do a full thorough and independent review of everything that comes to our attention

In trying to get her to say what the standard would be, intent, or gross negligence, etc..... She replied

Well yeah, I think that what's been reported, is that we received an inquiry into the handling of classified information particularly by people who are no longer in government as to whether or not it had been improperly handled or properly handled,and that is a security review that we get in a number of situations, and that was the genesis of this matter. And so beyond that I can't comment on the specifics of it.. except to say that we do look at the issues presented, but as I said before we look at them thoroughly.

noun: genesis;
the origin or mode of formation of something.
synonyms: origin, source, root, beginning, start More

So she is saying it started off as a security review and won't say anything further except for the part about anything that comes to their attention. She also said they didn't have a specific time. However, wouldn't you put as much resources as possible on it to wrap it up. How difficult can it be?

1. That doesn't make sense.

The FBI doesn't do 'security reviews', nor the DoJ. A security review would be done by an IG from Intelligence. If during the security review they find evidence of a possible crime, that is turned over to the FBI to investigate. It appears to me THAT is what's occuring.

2. It's not a function of resources

it's that the case can not have any flaws or possible weaknesses for a defense attorney to exploit. The FBI is trying to build a case so overwhelming that there is no chance of a jury returning anything other then a guilty verdict. I don't think the FBI has ever conducted an investigation into a politician as high profile and powerful as Hillary Clinton. ABSCAM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abscam) probably comes closest since the FBI wasn't fully involved in Watergate.

*First my comments are based on IF there is a criminal investigation. Second I am inclined to think that there is criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton and that the FBI has in fact found something worth pursuing based on the following: the FBI is NOT likely to offer immunity to someone unless they are after bigger game; the FBI is not likely request the extradition of a Romanian criminal over nothing; most importantly, if there was nothing to find, it is very likely the investigation would be over already.

She's cooked herself. Just turn off the oven and pull her out to cool. HILLARY HAD A DUTY UNDER HER SECURITY AGREEMENT TO TURN IN BLUMENTHAL AND DRUMHELLER. SHE VIOLATED THAT OATH. THE AG JUST TOLD US THE BASIS UNDER WHICH THEY CAN NAIL HILLARY.

The informal transcript in the post above is essentially accurate. Thank you!
