Clinton outraises Sanders in April

Clinton outraises Sanders in April
By NICK GASS 05/02/16 08:29 AM EDT

Hillary Clinton outraised Bernie Sanders in the month of April, according to fundraising figures reported Monday by the Democratic front-runner's campaign.

Clinton's campaign took in a total of $36 million in April, of which $9.5 million went to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising operation between the campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and state parties. Of that total, $26.4 million of the $36 million went to the Clinton campaign itself, which enters May with $30 million on hand.

By comparison, Sanders' team on Sunday reported raising $25.8 million in April, a steep drop from its $44 million total in March.

So, no change from March going into April and May...

Senator Sanders, the candidate who beats every GOP opponent by the largest margins.

Period.

13. About those "expensive fundraiser"

Those fundraiser you brought up, like the one held by George Clooney, did raise a lot of money. NONE of the money went to HRC. That money was raised to help other down ticket candidates, and primarily those running for the Senate. You see, you and Bernie have ignored a huge fact. Without at least a Democrat majority in the Senate, nothing will change. Nothing. so far Bernie has helped three people running for House seats and that is it. How could Bernie ignore this? How could his supporters not recognize this? The voting results in WI show a clear disconnect of his voters. They voted for Bernie, but few voted the down ticket races. Then people such as yourself complain about those "expensive" fundraisers. You and Bernie clearly do not get it.

If you have to keep people not just interested, but excited, you're not going to be able to do it. Politics doesn't allow for that level of energy to persist over time, and if you're reliant on that fervor to keep the pumps moving, you're going to fade away. It's a noble cause, I suppose, but it's one that isn't particularly well-suited to anything but being ahead.

I didn't want to donate and have the money go to the DNC but I am back in now.
