NY Post: NY primary results will stand. Judge denies Temporary Restraining Order

to stop results from being certified.

This was a lawsuit that was claiming that NY's closed system was unconstitutional. The Judge will consider the lawsuit but whatever he decides won't affect this year's election.

A Manhattan judge will allow state election officials to certify this year’s primary results — but he will still take up the larger question of whether New York’s closed primary system is unconstitutional.

The US Supreme Court also debated the issue — 40 years ago.

Moody asked Judge Engoron to delay the certification of election results — expected as early as May 3 — until all affidavit ballots were counted.

But Engoron declined, saying he was “concerned that a ruling in [Moody’s] favor will denigrate the associational rights of the political parties and their members.”

The party gets to decide what the criteria are for membership qualification.

Don't like the party? Want to have nothing to do with it? Want to "send a message" ... then by all means QUIT THE PARTY, be "Independent", or join another party! More power to ya!

Want to be an impulse-voter, want to be a drive-by interferer and "operation chaos" activist without actually joining? Go fuck yourself!

Want to participate in guiding the party direction? Want to help change or direct party policy? Then, by all means... COME ON IN! JOIN THE PARTY and be part of the team! Glad to have ya! Get to work! Help make a difference! WELCOME!!
