(2,166 posts)A candidate like Sanders will never be permitted to run again.
The second this election is over the election-eligibility rules and regulations
will be altered to make sure of it.

(29,233 posts)her. The statement was issued to the FOIA court, so they would not have been erring in their declaration.
brush
(53,771 posts)That's much too broad a brush as independents come in all political stripes left-leaning, moderate and right-leaning.
Clinton will get her share of sensible, left-leaning and moderate independents who don't want a repug appointing the next 3 SCOTUS justices.
And of course there is also the huge Obama coalition of sensible progressive whites who also don't want Trump picking the SCOTUS justices, African Americans, Latino Americans, women, gays, Asian Americas and Native Americans who've elected Obama twice and will elect Clinton in November.
Trump will lose spectacularly as we, the above, outnumber the angry whites who support Trump.
BTW, those angry regressives also supported Romney in 2012 and he lost handily despite getting a huge majority of them.
The days of depending on only the white vote for national office are long gone. The repugs know it but haven't figured out how to attract people of color so here's a newsflash to them: Ditch the racism.
Tarc
(10,476 posts)I never id understand the value placed on performer's endorsements. Perhaps Sanders lacks endorsements with actual gravitas, this is all his fans have to fall back on?

onenote
(42,700 posts)I've been told by multiple posters that when Sanders endorses Clinton, as he inevitably will, it will mean nothing to them. So, if the endorsement of one's preferred candidate means nothing, why exactly should the endorsement of Rosario Dawson mean anything?
Actually, of course, I think endorsements are good things. And I think Sanders' endorsement will be a good thing, even if it results in some of his more ardent supporters throwing him under the bus or admitting that he's a politician.
pinebox
