wrote, without a hide. Now, this is the ironic part. Du and Sanders supporters are saying this subject of Sanders actions in his 30's is so offensive, that we must hide it? We cannot talk about it? Yet, we want to put him in front of the nation to actually be vetted.
Interesting that a fact about Sanders is not allowed to be discussed in a primary forum and needs a hide.

(30,481 posts)And I'm not talking youthful indiscretions here. I'm talking quotes from in his thirties.

(24,418 posts)The GOP would tear him apart on many fronts. The fact that his supporters here hide anything negative about Sanders is a sign they don't want his past (before age 40 when he became Mayor of Burlington) known.

(5,761 posts)I don't give a shit about this, it was ages ago, the same way I don't give a shit if Hillary was once a Goldwater Girl.
This crap is meaningless and nothing less than "Gotchya Politics".
We have real issues to discuss, like people who can't afford to feed their families and those who will die in red states because they haven't expanded Medicaid.

The American soldiers and Iraqis that suffered for your political ambitions may not be so understanding however.

(45,319 posts)March 2016. Fresh off the tip of her tongue.....fully fictional praise for Republican villains coupled with an aggressive denial of the courageous activists of that time. She stated this fiction as if it was fact.

(3,089 posts)I can just imagine what Trump will do with this stuff. If the Trump campaign thought for one minute that Bernie would be the nominee they would be all over this and more. Very telling that they are not.

(54,330 posts)I'm a Bernie supporter and it's rather obvious to me he won't be the nominee. By carping on and on and on and on and on about all his negatives, you're alienating people from supporting your candidate. With supporters like you, who needs enemies?

(110,159 posts)ironic that a history of Sanders to be stated as insignificant, ... No wait, proving him a feminist hero, would then be hidden because ti is insulting the man. He can do and say it, Sanders people defend him for it, but then hide it so people can't see it.
Funny, right?
I think so.

(42,674 posts)All over the Internet. There are many pro-Hillary groups and ay least one dedicated to vetting Sanders. DU is what it is. Kos is what it is, but I was surprised and gratified to find out how many people are sick of this shit. Did anyone really think Hilary supporters wouldn't fight back?

(5,815 posts)But as the "rape fantasies!" responses showed, some people have a hard time reviewing the written word for context, analysis, and thematic purpose.
Gleaning a piece for gotcha quotes out of a whole is not "talking about what he wrote." At least not in an intelligent, useful manner.
From the quality of reading comprehension, I suspect GDP might be better geared towards, perhaps, Judy Blume novels.
Although, many of those are actually decent works with cogent commentary on adolescence.
So maybe that's also above GDP's capabilities.

(11,619 posts)So when I find something that is offensive from his past, it must still hold that to be true. After all, his strength is that he has always believed as he does now.
And as to creative writing, these were his opinions he wrote about, not Science Fiction, Fantasy, or action thrillers.

(4,387 posts)...as long as you're actually going to talk about it. If you're going to pick out 4 words and say he's just writing about raping women then expect a hide. That isn't what was going on in that article.

She added, citing a child psychology expert that "children in early adolescence tend to exaggerate or romanticize sexual experiences and that adolescents with disorganized families, such as the complainant, are even more prone to such behavior."
