West Virginia Governor Endorses Hillary Clinton https://shar.es/1eCv77

Despite recent controversial comments suggesting if she is elected, coal miners will be losing jobs and coal companies will be put out of business, democrat presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton has received the endorsement of West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin.

The Democratic governor announced his support Friday. Tomblin said he remains concerned about some of Clinton's positions on fossil fuels, but he said Clinton is the best choice to unite the Democratic Party and the country. Tomblin said he has talked with former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton's campaign and believes she is committed to working with West Virginia to diversify its economy and find ways to use the state's coal and natural gas…

Governor Tomblin Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin endorsed Hillary Clinton for president:

Although I remain concerned about some of Secretary Clinton's positions on fossil fuels, I believe she is the best choice to unite the Democratic Party and, after being elected president in November, our country. I have had discussions with former President Bill Clinton and representatives from Secretary Clinton's campaign and believe Hillary Clinton is committed to working with us to diversify West Virginia's economy while continuing to find ways to use our abundant coal and natural gas to power the nation.

Thomas Lester Jr., 50, was wearing a shirt that he used to wear to work, before he was fired from the Mountain Laurel Mine a few years ago.

“I want her to know that her kind has put me out of work” Lester said.

Lester said he is a registered Democrat but has stopped voting for Democrats on the national ticket ever since President Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008. In the primary, he said he’ll vote for Bernie Sanders, but in the general he’ll go for Trump.

No other candidate has addressed the issues facing coal country and Appalachia like Hillary. Even in the face of insurmountable odds that any of those places will vote for her she is still working for them. She said earlier, after having visited some of the most devastated areas, that we should not turn our backs on or forget the men and women who gave so much to keep our lights on when times were good. Say what you will...but she is right on this. I have folks who live in those areas and not everyone there hates her or Bill.

And is not, at present, running for any additional political office.

But thank you so very much for your concern!

people endorse Clinton. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out why. (And it's not because she is a great candidate.)

That keeping Coal as a big industry for WV is the way to go he's an IDIOT and I'm glad he's not endorsing Bernie.

It's called being short-sighted and WV should be changed to become a tourism state. I mean have you seen how beautiful the environment is that HASN'T been destroyed by mountaintop removal? They would make a BUNDLE from tourism.
