Hillary may as well turn her full attention towards Trump. No more Democratic debates should be scheduled.

Other than Obama/Clinton, I think this is the tightest election in decades. I agree that it near certain that Clinton will win, but she does not yet have 50% of the pledged delegates. Patience is a virtue. There is no reason to say that Sanders running is any worse than HRC running into June 2016. That election was closer, but, like this year, the winner became obvious before the opponent stood down.

Not to mention, the longer Sanders stays in, the more races, the more Clinton victories. I am not a fan of Clinton, but I seriously contend that she looks more excited, happier and more on message at her victory speeches than at any other time. Think of it, those speeches are the longest amount of unfiltered (by media) coverage she gets. Think of any other year. In retrospect - other than the convention, this is the best coverage.

Now think of years where someone gains the nomination early - like Gore or Kerry. They, especially Kerry, had some great coverage as they won week after week. As soon as no one was running against them, the coverage virtually evaporated - both as they campaigned and as they celebrated victories.

I assume Clinton will win the bulk of the races -- and many she loses will be on days she wins others. Each time gives her opportunities to restate her platform and to reach out to everyone - to her supporters, Sanders supporters, independents or even Republicans horrified by their choices.

Now consider that if Sanders drops out, media will be non stop Trump/Cruz.

13. In 2008 Hillary never let it get down to a vote on the convention floor.

As for media coverage, the MSM has no choice but to cover a Hillary vs. Trump war of words from now, until November.

I don't recall ANY statement in 2008, before the end of the contests where HRC ruled that out. In fact, on the day when Obama passed the pledged delegate number, she did NOT concede and was still speaking of winning.

Advisers indicated earlier Tuesday that the former first lady would publicly acknowledge in her speech that Obama had crossed the delegate threshold. But she changed her mind and refused to do so even after NBC News and The Associated Press declared the Illinois senator had sealed the nomination.
Her advisers said they considered the delegate numbers to be unreliable, even as the AP estimated Obama had several more than the 2,118 needed to nominate. Earlier, Clinton acknowledged on a conference call with New York lawmakers that the delegate math was not there for her to overtake Obama, according to several participants on the call.

NOTE - This was when Obama had the delegates -- HRC has not reached that point.

You might also remember McAuliffe - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/02/clinton-strategist-terry_n_104680.html --- still speaking of Clinton declaring victory on June 2!

Weaver has had his bad moments, but he has yet to reach McAuliffe level.

that the SDs will hand him the nomination. This has to be more about posturing then actually believing he has a chance to win.

You're obsessed with trashing Bernie. If you were so certain the coronation was going to take place, I'd think you might move on to more important issues like how she is going to convince people Trump really isn't to the left of her on many issues.

But this particular forum is dedicated to a specific subject matter, which I discuss here.

You wouldn't want me in here discussing the Chicago Bears' drafting of Cody Whitehair and whether it was good move to cut the veteran Matt Slauson, would you?

17. There are a lot of moving parts in the plan, but the supers are part of it
Tue May 3, 2016, 03:34 PM
May 2016
  • Flipping supers
  • Secret conversations with pledged delegates to get them to betray their voters
  • Overturning in court all closed primaries due to election fraud and vote suppression
  • Ousting Debbie Wasserman Schultz and replacing her with DU's expat NYC-SKP
  • Advanced "math" theories (e.g. shell games) involving committed/uncommitted delegates and the meaning of 50%
  • The FBI, indictment, Hillary in chains

It's complicated, but they have this! HRC should concede.
