And if you push it through the primary, the GE will finish it off.

We stand a much better chance with the good clean candidate.

Hell, he looks like he might not even make it through a first term.

Clinton is 69, like Drumpf. Both will be older than Reagan was at election, although women tend to last longer then men. The only remaining candidate who's the right age to be Preznit is fucking Raphael Cruz.

I've made my Ageist comment for today, so now i'll shut up.

I looked for my car keys for several minutes yesterday and found them in the car ignition. I sure hope they are better off than me or all the other people I know that age

We have no clue about the daily functioning, and experience of any of our candidates. We know they will have aides to help look out for them. I bet it would be easier to hide ordinary decline with plenty of insulation. Not sure if it will be healthy for us, though.

The eternal optimists remind me of Kramer (from Seinfeld) quote when he heard that a 90 something man had died "boy that makes you think!"

will only be a 1 termer.
If Trump gets it he will be gone in 4.
And if Clinton gets it
the Republicans will be reminded why they didn't like the Clintons
and she will be out in 4.
This of course is all speculation because I don't actually know any of this.

... it's likely that this is the last primary election for either, unless it's back to the Senate for Bernie. I firmly hope that in 8 years we have developed more Progressive candidates that could take the place of either easily.

Regardless, we do need to look at younger.Progressives for either as running mates.

I would have loved to see a Bernie/Warren ticket, but I don't think a woman/woman ticket is the way to go or that Warren would accept. Nor do I think a united ticket is possible.

Are there any Governors or Senators that you think would be left of Hillary that would help represent the more Progressive side, in the event that it's her?

Because, as a millennial, I don't want someone as President who can talk about the Cold War, Vietnam, and their flower child days back in the 1960's as if it were yesterday. First wave millennials like myself will finally be in a position where we will be able to run for President. In 2020 the first wave of millennials (those born in 1982) will be able to officially run for President. By 2024 they will be 42 years old.

Are we really going to keep millennials like myself out of office until we are well into our 50's or 60's? I don't think so. I'm honestly quite tired of all of the Baby Boomers and Silent Generation folks running the show and screwing our world up for us to have to come in and clean up after them. It's time for them to all retire to Florida, before it sinks beneath the ocean, because they didn't believe in Climate Change.

Of course Bernie would be too old at that point. As a Bernie voter, I want one term from him,
to set a tone. He is not in this for ego gratification like HRC. "It's a cycle right!" What you posted is

He already is, imo.
And Trump and Hillary aren't spring chickens.

Politics is the only profession where folks are well past the average retirement age, but can still run to rule the free world.

The rest of us average folks lose our job at younger ages because we are deemed too old.

But SCOTUS is lifetime appointment and Congress folk stay until they die.

Just unreal.
