2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo the Rethugs are united now: Trump is the winner. But we're going to keep attacking each other.
Bernie is staying in the race, helping Trump attack Hillary, even though Bernie has a greater chance of winning the lottery than winning this primary.
And Rethugs in upcoming contests will feel free to vote for Bernie to try to kneecap Hillary.
I fail to see how this will help the progressive cause in either the short or the long run.

(5,761 posts)I think it depends on how you look at it.
As I said, there are defining differences between your candidate and mine.
That is why we are in primary mode and until Hillary or Bernie drops out, it will be that way.

(108,973 posts)And Hillary hasn't touched it either. But it's there and it's ready. So it's silly to think that because Bernie hasn't been attacked by them yet, that when they attacked they wouldn't reduce his favorability.

If our candidate can't beat Trump because we allow the voters to vote then fuck us all anyway.

DEMs will come together after the national convention. They always seem to do, this year will be no different.
