For once Chuck Todd makes sense..."The two most unpopular public figures in America"

Ol' Chuck seemed genuinely upset and indignant tonight for some reason. He said, with uncharacteristic emotion: (Very sightly paraphrased)

"We are looking at the likelihood of a contest between two of the most unpopular figures in America running for president. Trump is going to make it very ugly, and Clinton is likely to follow suit. It's going to be very unpleasant. And we're going to have six months of this?!? It's uncharted territory, and it's just going to fuel the anger of the American people."

Don't know what someone put into his dinner...but for once he was making sense.

Or, I should say, to defeat the Democrats. It's not clear what side you want to win, but Todd's conservative bias is very well known.

In this case, Todd is putting down the Democratic Party's nominee by deliberately unfavorably equating her with an amoral, highly dysfunctional buffoon. Or, as you see it, "making sense."

Victory speech tonight wasn't typical Trump. He is charismatic and he is focusing on America while Clinton seems better at foreign intrigue. People will grow tired of Clinton I fear. Bernie is a much better match but Trump will be hard to beat by anybody.

I first read the title of the Op as two most popular and immediately thought of Bernie and Hillary, our two great candidates, and thought, "He said that!"

So, I don't know what the guy ate either, but is seems he's up to the same old yak, yak, yak for money.

There's a way to avoid that.

Step aside, Hillary, and let a candidate with 86 percent trustworthy ratings get the job done.

She voted for Obama twice. She voted, as did I, for Bernie in our Az primary.
But she will not vote for Hillary. I asked her--"What about a Trump presidency? What about the
Supreme Court?" She said "I can't vote for Hillary." I've learned over the years that arguing with
her is futile.
It is amazing that the two most unpopular public figures in America are what we will probably have
as candidates. In my 65 years I have never seen a cycle like this.
Then again, Bernie may be able to pull this out.
The curtain has been pulled back--anyone who is remotely aware sees the insane machinations
of the political system.
