Two weeks after the death of Prince, a magazine interview he conducted in 2014 has been posthumously released in which he discussed a number of topics. Most of the discussion wasn’t about politics or elections, but one mention in particular is raising eyebrows in political circles. While discussing the role that he believes women are increasingly playing in society, Prince predicted that “You’re gonna get a woman president soon.”

Prince’s full quote on the matter was “We’re in the feminine aspect now. That’s where society is. You’re gonna get a woman president soon. Men have gone as far as they can, right?” The 2014 interview with Rolling Stone was never published at the time, due complications over a photo shoot. However it’s now being published as the magazine’s latest cover story.
