(10,721 posts)Delegate-wise, Sanders is actually in a bigger hole now than he was 24 hours ago.

(24,689 posts)I will note that as an underlying change but the big picture is still the same.

(10,844 posts)She knows it, we know it, the public knows it.
Bernie will know it sooner or later but it really doesn't matter. She is moving on.

(47,803 posts)He knows exactly that it is an uphill battle with a "very narrow path."
And he is fighting to make sure the views that about 40 percent of voters in the primary support are represented
And Clinton continued to beat up on Obama in 2008 until June, even as people were telling the same kind of stuff.

(24,689 posts)That would be some sort of incredible miracle to win with those odds.
He is either delusional or just lying to keep the money coming in.

(47,803 posts)And Clinton was told repeatedly that she had no chance either. Read the link I posted.
And, to repeat...People in the later states have the right to express their preference too.

(24,689 posts)Anyone who has looked at the math with an open mind can see he has essentially no path to victory. His only hope is to win CA by 80-20 an even then that might not be enough if Hillary does well in any of the other remaining states. It hopeless and anyone can see it who isnt blinded by their bias.

(47,803 posts)For the sake of honesty, i should acknowledge that I was chomping at the bit for Clinton to drop out in 2008 myself because I was all in for Obama.
But -- my own biases aside -- as long as Bernie doesn't go overboard, there is nothing to lose by allowing the primaries to complete. I actually think it's healthy because it does keep long-ignored issues alive in this election, which could benefit the democratic party.
There is going to be months of the nasty, shallow back and forth that the GE campaign against Trump will be. People will be so sick of it and disgusted by the negativity, that there is a very real danger that cynicism and " a pox on both their houses" will set in by November.
There's nothing preventing Clinton from engaging that now of she chooses. But if she and Bernie can agree to keep it on a reasonable plane, teh primary could foster an election that's actually constructive.

(42,862 posts)... you're suggesting that two wrongs make a right. Or unless you're suggesting "WELL SHE DID IT FIRST!"
And if that's the case, then, well ... what else can be said except
